Hey Paul. It is Chris from the JCF board (you bought my old Lee jackson head).
I really like the JJ tubes in this too. I have tried a bunch of 12ax7's and these just sound the best to my ears.
3 of us from NJ all in the same thread about the same amp. lol. Cool.

I tried the Chinese out today and they seemed to thin the amp out some. I think the JJ's suite the promod the best. In my Cameron modded uber I like either a JJ or LPS. In my 2 Marshall's that Cameron modded I like the Tung-Sol in the V1 position. I guess it's just what sounds best to you. 2 Cameron Marshalls, a Cameron Bogner, AND a Splawn Pro Mod!!  Lucky man! |

I have only heard the Quick Rod and the Competition both with EL34s, which both sounded killer. How does the Nitro compare?

Nitro is more saturation and low end. I loved it but the Pro Mod fit me better.
