You will not be the last one. I am pretty sure that is the one I am going to be ordering. The Nitro sounds cool but I like the Gear Options and the KT-88's the ProMod has to offer. Are you still happy with yours?

Are you still happy with yours? Oh hell yeah man! Until I get enough money for a Nitro.  J/K1 Maybe, I don't know. I really liked the Nitro A LOT but I am in no way unhapppy with my Pro Mod. I would just like the extra saturation to hide my sloppiness behind. ;D Who knows, I may get both someday when i can afford it or I will most likely stick with my Pro Mod. I think I would be really regretful if I ever sold this amp. |

Yes it does have the new clean channel.. i am really digging it... sont quite know how to describe it other that the bottom end being nice and bouncy... it's a great amp hands down,,,,,
so outside of some of the electronics and kt88's its the same amp as a QR right>?

Cool, someday when I getsome cash I will either upgrade to a newer clean channel or maybe try the Nitro out. What do you mean by bouncy? Are youtalking about the clean side, dirty side or both. I know the KT88's have A LOT of low end thump so I assume that is what you are talking about. I just retubed mine with Tung Sol 6550's and 12ax7's and it seems to have smoothend it out a bit. I'm not exactly sure I am digging it yet. I might go back to the JJ pre amp tubes. What are you running in yours? |

bouncy..... just a nice bouncy chunk when i am playing harder riffs... real responsive bottome end i guess? All i know is that i like this amp a lot..
I am in the three splawn owners club. Soon i will be in the 4 splawn owners club....

Ok, I know there are a lot of "members" who don't post or sign up and then never return (mostly after reading the aVominations posted by our founder) but c'mon. I want to hear that at least two more people still play one. Speak up!

ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I submit that the Promod may in fact be the least used splawn amp out there...oh wait, what is that? There seems to be a commotion in the other room, it seems that everyone is playing their Quickrod's, Nitros, and Competitions...EVH rules..
