Yavo! Definitely a saracastic comment. I worship Eric Johnson like Vom worships Van Halen. oh God..you don't have a secret compartment containing a candlelit shrine with a mini fridge containing vast amounts of pre prepared jell-o do you?? You sound like my wife. "What about that time I caught you naked with that bowl of jello?" "It was hot and I was hungry!!!" ;D

Craig, do you have any paricular albums to recommend by Wes? I need some new music badly. Demon is asking for music recommendations from Craig?!?!? Dude!......Are you tryin' to rip a hole in the fabric of the universe?!?!? LMAO Believe me, I am just as scared as you! At least its jazz so its pretty safe from 80's-ness and I don't hear of Wes Montgomery wearing tiger striped tights and neoclassical blouses:)

I'm sure Craig can steer you down a short path to Wes Montgomery coolness. BTW, have you heard or heard of Johnny A? He's got a very cool "chord/melody" style that you MAY like.

Don the Wes I have is like a 2 disc set anthology ?I forget what its called. Its one of those fancy schmancy Jazz remasters they put out for suckers like me who like nice packaging.. Are you looking for new Jazz music or just wes Mongomery.. I would recomend these highly..
Miles Davis- Kind of Blue Seriously any musician who doesn't have this is missing out BIG TIME. Just the Cannonball Adderly solos alone are worth the $9.99 for the disc much less the freaking insanely rippin Coltrane solos. Its also fun to play over too, lots of space.
Pat Martino- Head and Heart Live A 2 disc studio/Live set. Pat Martino is my biggest Jazz influence. He an play smooth 16th notes all day and nver repeat himself,, sick sick sick.
John Coltrane: Blue Train or Giant Steps. Blue Train is mellow and very listenable.. but Giant Steps is like a roller oster ride of virtuotic soloing.. just inanely musical. The remaster has the entire album with 2 different takes very cool.
Tribal Tech with Scott Henderson and Gary Willis: "Illicit" or "Face First" or "Reality Check" Funk, Rock, Jazz, funk and more jazz.. just insanely cool groovin stuff with sick musicianship. Face First is the funkiest but Reality Check has more rock and song oientated stuff on it.

Thanks Craig, I do have Miles Davis - Kind of Blue and had Coltrane's Blue Trainbut lost it. Good stuff to jam to indeed! Speaking of good funk/jazz instrumental bands to jam to you guys should check out some Karl Denson, Topaz, Galactic and Groove Collective. Real cool jazzy funk instrumentals with minimal guitar stuff so you can wank away!
