So since there have been a lot of new members and posts here maybe the chances have increased that someone with a Splawn or interested in them likes my kind of music.
So far (besides jimbax) I am the lone wolf here and can't talk to anyone about music because I can't relate to the 80's/shredding stuff. So…give a shout out if you are NOT into 80's rock and listen to or have even heard of any of these bands:
Mr. Bungle, Primus, Interpol, Tomahawk, At The Drive-In, Jesus Lizard, Dredg, Sunny Day Real Estate, Fugazi, Tool, Radiohead
oh man..I'm going out on a limb here..anyone...help?

i don't really listen to too many of those bands but besides my metal side i enjoy other bands, mostly from the 80s, that aren't shred...the splawns can handle anything...
hell, i play purple rain through mine and it rules...

Well I've heard of several of those bands, but I actually like TOOL. So far, the only one I have is Aenima. I love the title track. I'll probably buy more of their stuff eventually. I also like A Perfect Circle's Judith, but haven't heard anything else from them that I care for.
I only mention APC because of the Maynard connection.

Tool is really a unique band and used to be one of my absolute favorites but they have been slacking for a while now. Maynard has focused his attention on APC, which the first album was great but the second and third were pathetic. I saw them in Atlantic City and it was so boring we left. Luckily my friend had one the tickets so we didn't lose out!
