Motherf**kers. I ordered a new Splawn 4x12 cab a few weeks ago. They kept trying to deliver it when I was working during the week after I told them I wasn't going to be home. So I reluctantly drove 2 hours to the freight center to pick it up today. Now I paid $75 for shipping so this pisses me off already. Well I got it home and I knew what was going to happen. The gashes in the box went right through all the styrofoam lining and took a chunk out of the tolex and wood. F**kers made it inconvenient as hell to get this thing and now it will be even more inconvenient because it has to go back to Splawn to get fixed. I'm ready to go postal on Fedex. I guess I should call Scott and let him know. I feel bad that he has to deal with these incompetent SOB's on a regular basis. Granted the damage is not bad (I have seen much worse from them on here) but it's a lot of money to pay for something that is damaged.

Thats a nice gash man. It still amazes me how these shipping companies are in the shipping business and still damage so many goods and act like they dont know why it happened. Its not like they make minimum wage Sorry to see that man.

They actually make more money from damaging items because they wiggle out of paying for it and then you have to pay 2x the shipping to get it fixed.

Sad to see, and unfortunately not surprising.

Do you guys think it's even worth going through the hassle of sending it back to Scott? I mean it’s on the bottom corner so you can hardly see it when it’s upright. It’s just the fact that I paid a lot of cash for something to be destroyed by some apathetic imbecile.

So they are totally in the clear for any damage?? Or do they only pay for it if you pay some kind of big extra ins coverage? I have never had any big item shipped to me and just curious. Seems some kind of responsibility should be on them.

I'd go ahead and send it back since it's brand spankin' new. Yeah, it's on the lower rear corner but you'll always know it's there. And if you ever decide to sell it, you know the buyer will want to knock your price down some. I doubt it would take long for Scott to fix it. Cab deliveries are still pretty good. Sorry man!!!

Seems some kind of responsibility should be on them. I would imagine Scott put some kind of insurance on it so they should be liable. From what I hear though, they usually find a way to say its not their fault.

Just got off the phone with Scott. Once again, he wins customer service of the year award. He's building a new cab and sending it out to me while Fedex goes through all the steps for the claim! Now THAT's customer service. Whew, I will be considerably less stressed when this is over.

Wow! Scott is the man! How many companies would do that? Ummm...none I can think of!! I actually just told him that I can wait since I have the 2x12 and left it up to him if he wants to build another. I feel bad for him having to do that when it's Fed-ex's fault.
