That really blows how FedEx screwed you around. I know my fedex guy and always leave him a signed and dated(along with my cell number) letter letting him know that he can just leave it on my porch. Theft doesn't exist where I'm from. I want to move where your at!!!! no you don't

I wish he would have left it on the side of my house, under the awning. We never have theft in my neighborhood either.

The closest major city that gets a good ammount of big name acts would be tulsa which is like two and a half hours from me. It is just really isolated from the ammenities of the big city. THe closest top shelf guitar store is prolly five hours away in st. louis

I like the country as well but there are plenty of major cities in the midwest that are within thirty minutes of country living. I'm not crazy about city living, just want to live near enough that I have things to do

I've missed many deliveries and had to go to the distribution center in PA several times

I just called Scott and am having him send it to work, even though I will be out in the field next week. Hopefully one of the stooges will sign for it here.

I myself would have taken it up with Fedex and left Scott out of it. I mean it's not like it's all busted up, maybe get some cash back on your end and just deal with it...it's on the bottom of the cab where it's hardly noticeable anyways. It's eventually gonna get some scuffs and tears anyways if you gig with it Not saying you're a bad dude or anything, just saying what I would do. Just a sucky senerio all around...that is a lot of money though I wonder if Scott would sell me the old cab "as is" for a scratch and dent price?

I completely understand and actually dealt with Fed-ex first before eve telling Scott. I actually just called him to let him know I filed a claim and he offered to do that for me. He says he can write it off and it will be no problem. I do feel bad about it though. I guess the fact that I don't make much money and buying a really expensive item is a big deal to me. I try really hard to take care of my gear and I do a pretty good job. That damage would always bother me. Josh from Splawn said that the cab ends up in an auction somewhere. I can look nto getting you the information if you'd like.

Like I said, just a sucky situation Sure speaks volume to how cool Scott is though...thus while I'll be playing Splawn amps and cabs forever pm me if you get any info, cool?

anything over $500 has to be signed for so its not a matter of being at home its just the way they do expensive items, i guess im a straight 3 day shot from splawn to my house in tx and fedex has been very good for me, i think if you look at it realistically the cabs are heavy and if they make alot of stops to big hubs its alot of handeling and usually they come in at the end of the day or in the early night, its a real mad house at a hub center, im not sure how the boxes are but my qr (luckly) didnt have a scratch on it, i hope the 4-12's are packed well i know the qr was excellent! im going to worried until the cab hits my house anyway!and i will be watching the tracking and i will be there for it no doubt! i havent had to do a claim as ive shipped to england, australia, canada but i did pack it well! i also heard that once you file a claim it is to be picked up by fedex and then evaluated and then a check cut back and its a long process and my closest claim center was $250 miles away! im shipping off a new marshall 1960 slant to mo. from tx and i will be packing it tight and fedex will be my shipper, i doint want to even think of damage...
