Don't feel bad. They trashed mine also. A big gash in the side of the box and a big dent and torn tolex. I didn't bother Scott with it. I NEVER ship through Fed Ex when I sell something on Ebay. I have had no issues with UPS or USPS. Cabs are a tough thing to ship. If he went with a larger box Fed Ex won't ship it. He would have to probably use DHL or have it freighted. I'm pretty sure there is a weight and size limit to what they will ship.

Motherf**kers. I ordered a new Splawn 4x12 cab a few weeks ago. They kept trying to deliver it when I was working during the week after I told them I wasn't going to be home. So I reluctantly drove 2 hours to the freight center to pick it up today. Now I paid $75 for shipping so this pisses me off already. Well I got it home and I knew what was going to happen. The gashes in the box went right through all the styrofoam lining and took a chunk out of the tolex and wood. F**kers made it inconvenient as hell to get this thing and now it will be even more inconvenient because it has to go back to Splawn to get fixed. I'm ready to go postal on Fedex. I guess I should call Scott and let him know. I feel bad that he has to deal with these incompetent SOB's on a regular basis. Granted the damage is not bad (I have seen much worse from them on here) but it's a lot of money to pay for something that is damaged. Sorry to hear about the damage Donald. I hope that Fed Ex covers you for your expense.

I really hate to have to bother Scott as well but it sucks to get something brand new and custom made and have it messed up from the start because of these idiots. UPS won't even ship cabs as far as I have heard so the options are limited. I remember your story, that's crappy!

Really makes you want to believe in instant Karma doesn't it. Yes, if there is a hell there is certainly a section reserved for negligent delivery men!

thats why i try to make sure they can deliver it the 1st time. The longer they have it the better the chance they will tear it up

I couldn’t take a half day off of work just to wait for them to show up. Next time I guess I should have them send it to my work.

MY wife is usually at home but every once in a while she will have something to do and we will miss the delivery .It really kills me when it summer and I know a guitar is ridiing around on a truck where the temp is probably 100 +.Once I called ups and we went and met the truck and got the guitar that way .You can't do that with fedex .I do prefer fedx to ups though . Ups wanted $85 to ship a guitar to california and fedex did it for $45.

That really blows how FedEx screwed you around. I know my fedex guy and always leave him a signed and dated(along with my cell number) letter letting him know that he can just leave it on my porch. Theft doesn't exist where I'm from.

Theft doesn't exist where I'm from. +1 for me too. My wife bought some clothes for my daughter off of Ebay about a year ago and they didn't come before we left to go on a weeks vacation. We left early in the morning, the three boxes were delivered that afternoon, and we didn't get back until 6 days later. They were still there and thank God it didn't rain ;D. The worse thing that happens in the area where I live is my neighbors cows get out and stand in the middle of the road. I have to hit my siren and corral them back into the pasture. Now if i lived 15 miles closer to the center of Jacksonville the story would be different.
