;D I decided to hang on to my 2-12 Marshall cab for right now. I am putting a g-1230 anniversary speaker in it to go with my 75-watter that will stay on the left. That way I can check it out see if I like that combination of speakers. Then I will probably move on to adding a vintage 30 in the left to go with the g12-30 anniversary on the right. Then I can see if I like that combination of speakers. Then I will know if the 2-12 cabs have a good use along with my 4-12 cabs. If so, then I will buy some Splawn 2-12 cabs and sell the Marshall. WHEW!!!!! Glad this was not a real life or death choice. I would have bit the dust way back. LOL. Thanks for everyone's help on the subject. I really did appreciate all the help. ;D ;D ;D ;D

If both the Splawn and the Avatar cabs are made from the same 13 ply birch why would there be any difference in tone assuming wer'e comparing similliar dimensions cabs? Does anyone have any clips comparing the avatar to the splawn cab?

The Avatar is 12" deep, whereas I think the Splawn is 14".

;D The Marshall is 14 inches deep also. That extra space is good for more tone.

I'm talking about the 2x12 oversized cabs which have the same dimensions.
