Hey fellows, Let me simplify. I wrote the last response, due to a couple of things, that I, and I feel sure, all of you notice. This last week, or so, the posts, back, and forth, have really been left field, and now, even offensive. I tried, to write a post, in such a way, that I wanted, to see if I could slow down ,and or hopefully, stop the wrong direction, things, seemed to be going. I only did this, because, I really like most everyone, that I have talked to on this forum, and I chose this forum, exclusively due to several factors. First of, I like Scott's product, all of his staff's efforts, and their work ethics. Second, I am, very careful, and as I have stated before, I back read posts, like hell, just to see, how it goes on here, then followed, the every day posts, for a month, and a half, before joining. I thought, that there were, a core group of members, that really do alot, by contributing good 411, and still play around, with out cutting into somebody, or their feelings. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big cross looking biker guy, I sure as heck don't look like the guy who gives a s--t. I am however, able to see that, atleast for me, being decent, to those I share with, is better than, just kicking the hell, out of everybody, like I'm capable of, and unfortunately, well versed in, in days gone by. I know, we all have a right to our opinions, but cutting on someones tone, because you take personal offense, to his view, on a cab, that you like, but don't personally make. C'MON. Go back and read my post again, it's not wierd, just laid out, so as not to hopefully outright offend the guy, ya know? Today, I talked to josh, and me and him both agree, Craig is an excellant, guitar player, better than most, I just thought, after reading that post, then thinking back about the super bowl threads, and also, the EVH, and george lynch hacking, WE need to regroup. I sure did'nt intend to over IQ, anyone with my threads, SORRY, DONALD DEMON, I ACTUALLY, LIKE THE FACT, THAT YOU RESPONDED, AWESOME BRO! Hey, forget about that hollywierd, s--t, though..... I really want the best, for all you guys, you should be, all killer people, especially, if you agree, with me, SPLAWN AMPS, ARE IT. NOTHING BETTER. PERIOD.... I am fixing to order something else, and have something shipping out, on monday. No more rants, LOL. BY THE WAY, I AM A PUBLISHED WRITER, GUESS THAT EXPLAINS, THE CRAZY ANGLES. ;D ;D

Hollywood.. fwiw, I too, am a 6'2 225lbs ridin 1980 stroked shovelhead, we should dance or drink.. lol, I appreciate what your saying here, ANYWAY... enuff about this.. :-) and all lets just meeeeelloooooowww lol I like my Splawn OS 2x12, I first am loyal to splawn. Scott has been there for me more than all may know. Rather the avatar cab is comparable? I dont know.. I do know Scott is a great person. and I want his business to flourish. So I will buy from him. bad pic from point and shooting with no settings..,, but here is my 2x12 OS, big sounding, solid bottom end with a v30/h30 70th in it ( 70th mic'd) mids are nice, I have spent time breaking in the speakers. the H30 take time! now the beaming center punch has mellowed on the Hi freq. I like the cab for the bottom end and its a little looser than my 4x12's. I can crank up the amp and not have as much square foot volume taking place. for a little lower levels it works great. but when you want that punch rip the face off the drummer thing.. 4x12's have the hair to me. the splawn is built really tight. I ordered mine without speakers ( I have too many) the back cover is so tight I had to remove the input jack so I could pull the back panel to remove the back cover. lol.. its a really well sealed cab. now back to watching young frankenstein mouhahaha

8-)Thanks, for the kind words. Also, great info, I really need all the 411, on the cabs, I can get. Since the wait for a cab is long, I am trying to speed up my choice, without making a mistake. I am definately, leaning towards the g-1230's, for a speaker choice, and or emminence, since I need to curb down some of the sharpness, I seem to be getting, running the greenies right now. Funny how the volume level, on the splawn changes, my perception, of my tone??? ;D I also, may try a bottom cab, since I have all slant cabs, in 4-12, right now. that will give me some bottom, for sure. , or two 2-12 cabs??? I guess the regular 2-12's, would have more bottom response right? ?? THANKS !!!

hollyWOOD, I think I figured it out. Too many commas!!!That is what is confusing me when I read your posts. I feel, like, I am, pausing, too many, times, when I , am reading. Anyway, I wish i could help with the 2x12 info but I only play 4x12's and never owned a smaller cab, with the excpetion of my Rivera cab. That is a 2x12 with a 300w powered sub in a 4x12 size cab. It brings the rock bro!

;D Thanks for the 411. Hey don't sweat the big guy thing. The scariest dude I ever had to deal with was a d--n midget. That little bastard was mad at me in the 6th grade cause the girl he liked went with me. I had to do a double take when he jumped me outside at school. I was twice his size and I just tripped when he was gung ho on my azz. So being the good friend he needed. I only beat the snot out of him until he passed out. So that way I HELPED HIM MINIMIZE HIS SUFFERING. By letting him not be alert for some of the throbbing that takes place after someone reaches out and touches you. All over your head and shoulders that is. And you thought only bumble bees attacked this way? TISK TISK TISK. Hey at 5 foot 5, you could be the victum of a midget attack also. So you are taller than you thought. LOL. LOL. I worried about voilent midgets for years. SCARY LITTLE FELLOWS. HE. HE. HE.

Aww crap. I better not mention that I'm using an Avatar Vintage 2x12 (and even had money left over to buy some pizzas) I believe one of the reasons the Vintage cab is relatively cheap is due to the material they use. It is a bit thinner than typical 4x12 cabs (looks to be 1/2 as thick or so).
