Akira Takasaki.. jeesh how could I forget him. That dude smoked EVERYONE in the mid-eighties and got no American Press at all. He was like the best of Yngwie, Lynch, DeMartini and EVH rolled into one player.

I'm with vom on this one,, I agree Lynch, Vito and Warren got plenty of press and praise.. and magazine covers etc.. somebody said Vivian Cambell!!?? That guy was WAY overrated.. what a sloppy mess. Underrated: Greg Howe Danny Gatton Brett Garsed Scott Henderson Guthrie Govan is a sick individual and should be on the cover of every magazine every month,, LOL. Craig, I'm a sloppy mess too............LMAO...... If one can find a discontinued CD copy of "Riverdogs", check it out. Vivian rocks on it, in my opinion and all of you know, we all have opinions like we all have A$$holes, LOL............

I like CC a lot more since I saw the Surreal Life TV show. I remember when Warrant and Poison came out. I said this is the beginning of the end. Sigh............ I actually liked the guys from warrant....they had good note choice... I like them better now. "Machine Gun" and "Uncle Tom's Cabin” were all right. Too easy to bag on Jani. I didn't find the pop element of what they were doing interesting. I thought that they were taking the image of metal writing pop tunes so they could buy sports cars.

I thought that they were taking the image of metal writing pop tunes so they could buy sports cars. the songs I like by them are few and far between...but I really liked their lead styles...they weren't technical wizards, but they kept the leads pretty tasteful i thought

I don't know half of who you guys are talking about but I'm sure they're all GHEY.
Just kidding ladies. I would like to add +1 for Mike Campbell, he's a great a player and is under the radar. I also would like to add Brian Setzer, Reverand Horton Heat (though Setzer smokes the Rev in rockabilly and probably everything else) and Robin Trower.
