Okay, It is a little slow this morning. So I decided to start this thread.
I saw the most overrated guitarist on the Splawn form but not the most underrated.
Here are my picks:
John Sykes – Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Blue Murder, others. Every guitarhead I know talks about John Sykes at one point or another. Has the total package (no jokes please) *see Kee. Kee Marcello – Europe. Kee has got it all/total package: speed, power, cadence, melodious Denny Dias – Steely Dan. A lot of people talk about Skunk and Carlton but a lot of the tasty stuff on the early albums is Denny. Glenn Campbell – Yes he is a drunk, but he is a monster player. He can play any style and is on some of the most influential albums ever.
George Lynch – I know George is not exactly underrated. George falls into the rare category of being an influential rhythm player and lead player. Only Eddie was more influential of the LA guitar players (I forgot about Randy - add him as the #2). George also has the “total package.” Eddie casts a big shadow. I think that George needs to be brought out from that shadow.
Who do you think is the most underrated?

I love the little Jewish lady that wants to buy the toaster and tells Louis (from the Electric company) you know something, you're the reason for birth control!
Great line!
