Gtrjunior, could you share some info on getting into contact with fokin? I’m wanting to try a set of his humbuckers in my les Paul but I can’t figure out how to order from them to save my life! Absolutely.... Give me a little bit. I have a little bit of house crap to take care of. But I’ll get you his email. Do you know what you want to order already? If not go to his website fokinpickups.com and use the google website translator to see it in English. Like all translations, it doesn’t translated perfectly. But it’s good enough to understand the descriptions anyway. If you have trouble with the translator, let me know and I’ll see if I can forward a translated screen shot or something to you. |

From the limited research I’ve done, and from your clips I’m thinking I want the same set up you have but with gold covers. (Hot Breeze Bridge and Rocket Queen neck) but I am open to suggestions. It’ll be going in my Gibson LP Custom that mostly gets used on Southern and Classic Rock. ( Bad Company, 38 Special etc...) So if another set of his pickups comes to mind feel free to suggest away.

Good choices.
If you’re at all familiar with Duncan pups, the Rocket Queen probably most resembles the A2P pickup or the Slash neck pickup. It stays clear under gain rather well. I would characterize it as a somewhat darker pickup. Not necessarily a bad thing since I feel the QR is a bright amp to begin with.
Another great choice is the Hot Breeze neck....it’s rounder sounding than the RQ.
Also, keep in mind that if you want something wound special, he will do that for you. If you want a different magnet, just ask.
I actually swapped A8 into a couple of H Breeze pups I have. Tonally similar but more powerful. Sustains for days.

Pickups are ordered! Ended up going with H Breeze set after giving your video another listen through my good monitors. I have a strong feeling this won’t be my last set from him though so I will probably end up owning a Rocket Queen as well.
