Which crybaby are you using? You and I are all about the “right” wah pedal. Lmao No... we've just been *horribly* scarred by using the wrong one!

Check out my big post in my update to the R-T thread. Just got home and completely wiped out. Never got my clips posted. I tried to do a clean and dirty clip with Treble on '0' Clean clip sounded a bit muddy. Neither sounded that great because of my phone. I will try to redo. I think I'm locked out of my Youtube account.

I'm not sure if this is going to work or not. Don't feel like paying a subscription to vimeo and I can't recover my youtube password. BUT, I discovered that imgur will let you upload video's as long as they are no more than 30 seconds. Luckily most of the 'tests' I did were around that. Unfortunately I can't seem to get the video to show up on this forum so you may have to click on the link. Let's try one: imgur.com/WBJCCayi.imgur.com/Cybr7yM.mp4I did 3 basic tests. All knobs on 12 noon. Treble on 12 noon for the first half and then I turn the treble to '0'. Clean picking / Lead playing / Power chords But the settings, guitar, everything else was the same. Loop vol. on '10'. Let me know if that works.

OK. Never mind. Now I feel stupid. It wasn't that great anyway and it is super hard to hear a difference but it is there. Not sure if it is better or worse, but it is there. For lower gain cleaner stuff lowering the Treble to '0' rolls off the highs and add mid honk almost wah type sound. Some may go as far as say it add a blanket layer over the cab - so for some stuff it is not a good thing. I get it. For higher gain stuff it seems to remove harshness while giving the tone or attack a 3D like affect. In some amps. Not all amps.
Additionally, on my amp, if the Treble on the OD channel is on '0' the Clean Channel suffers greatly.

The imgur link is working on my end. But tbh, I don’t hear much, if any magic in the treble on 0 thing.
Are you running a fuzz pedal with your amp? My QR doesn’t sound anything like that.

No fuzz. Cell phone clipping I am assuming. Gear 2/OD 2.
Do you remember which video worked for you? None of them work for me if I try to launch from here.
Thanks for trying though and yeah....pretty subtle.

So here is that Clean Channel test using the OD Treble. Treble knob on the OD channel affects the volume or treble on the clean channel. My clean channel has come alive. None of the other dials on the OD channel affect the Clean channel (on my amp) so I set them all to '0' on this video, except for the Treble to start. You will see what happens when I dial the treble down to zero on the OD channel. Let me know if this link does not work for you. It does not work for me. i.imgur.com/VL0pSaO.mp4Sorry for the clipping, I think it is because it is a Blackberry cell phone sitting close to the speakers.

He link in blue is the one that worked Thanks. I'll mess with it a bit more when I get back. Traveling to KC with my brother to see 311. I'd like to learn from you how you got a video to work on dropbox. I could only get audio. But there may be something wrong on my end because I have to copy paste your link into a new window. It won't launch by clicking on it like it would normally. No worries. Thanks for sharing. Nice playing. Now stick your phone (assuming it is a phone) up next to the cabinet like I did and see if it clips more. I did it that way so people could see the settings. I don't think my QR has any more gain than yours or anyone else's. FWIW - I was in C standard and using a Duncan Custom Custom except the clean channel test I think - which was a '59.

I took the vid with the iPhone. Then go into your videos and hit the share arrow. One of the options is to save to Dropbox. Hit that. Then choose what folder in Dbox to save it to. Then open Dbox and go to your vid and again, hit the share arrow. Then hit copy link. Then paste the link to your post.

I have a Blackberry running Android. A KeyOne.
Seems uploading things from phones is easier than laptops these days as imgur won't let you upload from windows laptop and dropbox let me upload, but it only took the audio and no video. For what I was trying to show, seeing the settings was key as I switched treble setting.
I'm from St. Louis but in Bonner Springs, KC now getting ready for a concert at amphitheater.

I’ve never had a blackberry so I’m not sure how they work.

I think it may be psychosomatic but I swear the treble zero setting on the little riff in splawndude's clip sounds a bit edgier but there really isn't much of a difference.
gtrjunior's clip is classic Splawn... splawndude could you do some power chords/chugging kinds of things? You mentioned a clip with power chords but I didn't see it...
