Can you guys tell me what you use typically for your settings and what kind of music you play? I'm just curious mainly on what a typical resonance and presence setting would be.

I think my Presence is at 11 oclock or so. I'm a hard rock/metal player mostly. Every now and then, like today, I'll mess around with some ambient shoegaze type stuff. There is some good info here: splawnfans.proboards.com/thread/10211/use-splawn |

Also about the rest of the EQ. I hear people say they turn their treble almost off but I think I keep my on about 2 o clock on both my nitro and quick rod. I was using my bass on the nitro around 12 o clock but today I backed it off to about 9. Both ways were good just different. |

Me too but not so much with my amp settings except for backing off the presence a little bit and the V1 preamp tube . I`ve mainly changed pickups , speakers and boost pedals |

I switched from V30's to Creambacks and I love it. I'm hoping to get Nazgul/Sentient in my Solar next month. I use a MXR 10 Band in the loop but I'm just barely boosting all the frequencies and it seems to make it more 3d sounding. besides that I'm running a bass around 10-11 o'clock then my mids and treble to about 3-4 o clock on my Nitro. My Quick Rod is getting some modification so I'm not sure what what I'm going to set it on when it gets back. Yesterday I switched my settings a lot yesterday experimenting with my Nitro and I was surprised out how many usable tones I got.

2011 QR with EH el34's into 2 old greenbacks and 2 mojotone watchtower speakers at 16ohm in a 4x12 A cab. I run the effects loop for lower volume in smaller places. Setting are in reference to a clock not actual numbers. Presence 9ish, bass 1 o'clock, mids 0930, treble 1000, volume 1000, gain 1 o'clock in gear one. My guitars are not set up like most I run a linear 300k pot for my bridge position and mostly 300k audio for my necks with a treble bleed 0.0005. I like rolling the volume down and it cleans up without much volume loss until the end of the taper for the bridge, neck responds like most. The band I am in covers from Doobies to Shinedown, This Splawn does it all!
