Resonance all the way off V30 B-cabinet
For classic rock:

+1 That did sound good. gtrjunior was that recorded only from phone? I love how no matter how people run their rigs you can still tell it is a Splawn

Well I use a Street Rod... but here are my settings:
No resonance control but presence is about 1:00.
Volume is about 9:00, that allows me to use the solo boost which is around 1:30 Gain is about 2:00, gives some nice saturation on gear 1 in OD2.
Bass is about 11:00 mids about noon, treble about 2:00.
I mostly use OD2 on gears 1 and 2, gear 3 I back it off to OD1 for Van Haleny types of things.
Clean channel volume is pretty low, about 8:30, the clean channel is pretty loud on my SR. Treble a bit higher than bass (1:00 and 11:00 respectively).
I use the loop volume a LOT. Don't go much past halfway because these things are freaking loud! If it's too low it loses some oomph, so it's an exercise in finding the right balance between loop volume, channel volume and solo boost on the dirty channel
We play classic rock covers, female fronted band so we're doing Pretenders, Benatar, Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty as well as Cheap Trick, Zeppelin, Gin Blossoms etc...

Hey gtrjunior, what do you think of the Friedman Buxom Boost? Heard it's great with Splawns, saw in a Pete Thorne video where Pete said it was buffered and I'd like that but it looks like it's true bypass in some other sources What say you?!

It is hands down the best boost I have ever tried. It’s transparent so it won’t color the tone, even though it has its own eq (which is phenomenal).
It literally turned my QR into more of a monster than it already was, if you can believe that.
I chatted with Scott in a FB post a couple of months the ago and he told me what his basic settings are, so that’s what I’ve been using (with a few minor tweaks) and my amp has never sounded better. This coming weekend I’m going to mess around with my Mobius and try out the settings Joel suggested. I’m anticipating very good things.
If you’re considering a Buxom, absolutely unequivocally don’t think twice....I bought mine used for about $125 iirc.

What are Scott's settings? Just curious... Is the Friedman BB buffered or TB? Thanks!

Basically all the controls on noon Gear 1 gain at 3:00 Now he does use a pitch shifter to thicken the sound, that’s why I want to try what Joel suggested. Scott runs a stereo setup and I run mono, so what Scott does probably won’t work the same for my setup. There’s a thread here somewhere where I posted a Facebook clip of Scott’s band playing (audio only). Iirc, you posted in that thread. I really liked the tone so I messaged him about it. I tweaked the settings a little for my rig. I’m in gear 1 but because I use the Buxom to goose the front, I back off on the gain to about 1:00. Then on the buxom, I start with the controls at noon and tweak to taste. I think I have the bass and miss bumped up a tiny bit and the treble at noon. I can double check later and snap a pic. You will a absolutely love what the Buxom does to the amp. It saturates it in all the right ways....just pure liquid-y goodness. Lol As far as the pedal being buffered or TB...I honestly don’t know but I can tell you it doesn’t do anything detrimental to the tone...just the opposite actually. My channel switcher has a buffer in it so that likely has a positive effect overall too.

Thanks, yeah not worried about it negatively impacting the tone but it would be replacing a Boss compressor at the beginning of my chain and I like having a buffer there. Have to track down the thread with Scott's band, that sounds familiar... Thanks again man!

The Buxom Boost sounds fantastic but I wanted a buffered pedal. Tumnus is buffered, transparant and sounds great! Unfortunately it's on backorder, oh well. Can't wait until everything shows up, matching 1x12 extension cab from Scott, Tumnus (will go at the beginning of my chain).
