I know!! I'm thinking I should have them by the end of the week. Probably won't have time to install this weekend but I'm hoping for next weekend

Still waiting on the pickups!! They were held up in customs for a few days but the tracking is showing them moving again. I'm hoping to have them tomorrow.
I just went to the hardware store and bought all my supplies to install and solder the pickups. Got a new pickguard from Warmoth. I'll post before and afters.

Hopefully this coming weekend. I've never installed pickups so I'm a bit nervous about it!! I've been researching and asking lots of questions on the various forums I participate in. I'm just gonna disassemble and reassemble one wire at a time!!
I'm thinking of installing a push/pull coil split tone pot too....

That's probably the best thing, just follow the existing path of the old pickup wires. If you gonna add a push/pull thing, search a schematic for it, I think that there is one on Fokin site.

The more I'm thinking about it, I'll probably hold off on the push/pull pot. I've got them in other guitars and I never actually use it, so.... Plus I can always go back and add one later if I need to. |

I tried to install the pups today but the Fokin instruction looked nothing like the actual wiring in the guitar.
I wired it according to the Fokin schematic and it didn't work.
Off to the shop it goes to have it done right...

So I gave it another shot today and I got it!!
I had a couple wires crossed. I found a really good schematic online and I followed it to the letter and got it!!
I haven't played it through the Quickrod yet since it's not set up right now. Still, it sounded pretty good through the Orange Micro terror that I use as a backup amp.
