New pickup selection

Thanks guys. That pickup was a pleasant surprise. It's a bit clearer and less meatier than BBQ bucker, but it sounds great. I really like how it's working with the volume pot, cleans nicely.

Well, I'm in Europe and my friend was on a business trip to Russia and got tree sets from guy that makes them. I've red somewhere on the net that he is sending pickups all over the world, maybe you can mail him and ask about shipping etc. I believe he can make custom pickups as well. He's got a nice selection of single coils and other humbuckers also. This Hot breeze humbucker set is about 110 Euros, if I remember correctly, which is a great price for a great sounding humbucker set I think.

Haha, thanks man, I was just trying to squeeze as much licks and riffs as possible, cause we recorded it quickly just to document the sound of this particular pickup, that's why I've played it a bit to fast. It was just a random noodling, haha.

Wow...110 euros is a great price for a set! I'm going to email him. I read in the Seymour Duncan forum that some of those guys had communicated successfully even with the language barrier.
Everyone seems to say these pickups have a 3 dimensional sound. I find that intriguing...

They definitely have that 3D sounding character and great feel under the fingers. There is a HSS combination that I think I may try to get next time, Brown horse humbucker and maybe a Woodstock single coils. They are not hot output, but I think they will gell with QR nicely. One of the sets that arrived was Hot breeze hum and Hot S single coils for a Strat, but was sold quickly so I did not get a chance to try it, but the hum is the same one.

That's what I'd be looking for...HSS. And from what I can tell the Hot Breeze has the type of output I'm looking for.

I let him know what I was looking for and I'm just waiting for his response and pricing info.
