Have you thought about the 5150 iii 50w? they run 999 new, are midi, 3ch, small enough to carry as your backup amp, really sound great in person the clips don't do them justice. just a thought used should be showing up by now I actually just read about them. I'll have to check one out somewhere in person.

I get this a week from now, it was a "one-off" build by Brian at BFG Amplification, he added WIMA Caps, same used in the Bogner XTC amps. Its his XTC modded 22H with Excursion mod, extra gain mod, all these cool pin switches, it will be an amp where I finally can play low in the house and save my ears but still attain full shred attack lol!

Big 5153 fan here. Great tone, nice cleans, articulate lower end. Very interested in the Mini. I own a Peavey Vypyr 60 Tube that is really cool and has a bunch of usable tones and effects. It may not be an Axe Fx but for $315 used this thing rocks.

I loves me a nice Mesa/Boogie Mark series amp. I don't care much for the Rectifiers but I miss my Mark IV head I used to have. It wasn't as massive as my Nitro but it was smooth and fast and cut like a knife.

I have a 76 Marshall JMP which I did the friedman BE, DBE mod on ,also added an effects loop . It kills anything I have ever owned including the marshall with the real friedman mod . I did change some of the cap values to give it some more mids . Still love the splawns just don't own one anymore .

Nothing compares to my Competition but I love my Peavey Bravo 112. It's a 40 watt combo with 2 el84's and 3 12ax7's. Fan-cooled tubes in a faraday cage. Active EQ on channel 2. Effects loop. This ain't no blues jr. Clone, this is a nice amp. Jazzy cleans to 80's metal. This is a feature rich amp for its style. It has the potential for boutique sounds, yet you can pick them up for $200-$300, and sometimes even less since the tubes aren't visible. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m--jFYVr4E

I love my Gomez, Surfer. 100w head , 2x15 cab. , reverb tank. Absolutely a killer clean sound. With bottom like thunder. It pushes enough air to knock over medium sized dogs, or deafen a mastiff ! ...LOL

Another shoutout for Mesa, still love them. I will say this, I really do love the tone of my Bogner Ecstacy 101b. I have a fully optioned out '99 halfstack and it has some beautiful sounds. I also got a chance to try a Freidman Marsha or whatever it's now called and totally loved it. But when I wanna crank up with my bands, that Splawn sound just puts a huge smile on my face. Turn it up and it just keeps getting better and better....
