Whatcha get, whatcha get?! Pics you mook.
People seem to universally dislike the JB in these guitars. I don't know if they sound good in others? Mine was out within a week or something, never changed a pickup so fast. Hopefully they'll start loading them with something else next year.
Neck's pretty beefy on mine, though it's all relative to what you own I suppose. Usually described as a 59 neck, not as fat as a 50s but not as thin as a 60s. Certainly fatter than my Strats. Second only to the utter baseball bat of my Saraceno really. Maybe you got a Custom and they're thinner?
Hope the sustain's working for you. Mine's louder than any other guitar unplugged. It has so much toanz to give!

It has so much toanz to give! I just got it last night and then people came over and I only got like 10 minutes to even look at it, let alone take pics! I got the E-LP-98LTC like I posted earlier, so yeah it’s a custom. I didn’t know that meant skinnier neck. I’m actually kind of disappointed because I love so much about the guitar but I absolutely HATE skinny necks. The chunkier the better for me. It sounded pretty good unplugged, though not as good as my LP Studio. That guitar is special though. I thought the JB was very in-your-face all the time sound which is not my thing. If I do keep it I will probably put some WCR’s in there but that won’t be happening for a long time!

That was total guesswork on the skinny neck, by the way, they're probably the same! Be nice to hear from Rocker35 as I think he has two of your models as well as a Gibson or two.

Yeah I think they are probably the same. Here she is. I really can't wait to try her with the Splawn but that won't be until next week because the amp is at the practice space.

I love that aged yellowish trim Donald, it ROCKS!! I snagged this off ebay for $700.00 shipped, and it was a mess when I got it. I brought it to my guitar luthier Morgan who teched for Papa Roach for 10 years and now has his own repair shop down the raod from me. It plays 200% BETTER than ANY Les Paul Axcess Ive tried at GC. The sustainer is killer and it pulls 2 whole steps up without me having to route out under the floyd. Tuned to eFLAT, and I added a GIBSON "T" Pickup, now its a gem. I always wanted the SCHON Black Beauty without spending 7-10K so here it is

Nice guitar! And congratulations on finding one you enjoy! When I was in Japan, I played a bunch of guitars. The Edwards is the "middle" line clone, generally come in $900 - $1200. The top dawg is the Navigator, also made by ESP which costs more than the real thing here. The ESPs, Grecos, Tokais et al are nice guitars, but it is difficult to find a "bargain" ie, as good or better for the same or less than a Gibson. Everything is a "clone" whether its ESP or Fujigen or Epiphone, but I saw a lot of booteek guitars from the states too, stuff I had never seen that is made here in LA too! The popular models are copied, Les Paul, 335, Explorer, V, not much of the last two though. If you have the $$$$ there are quite a few nice vintage guitars, because over there, they do have the $$$.

I have to say after owning this guitar for over a year and a half (where does the time go?) that I think I like it slightly better than my former #1, my 94 Gibson LP Studio! The Edwards is slightly brighter, has a sweeter top end, a tad less lows (which is a good thing on my Pro Mod) and is about 3-4 lbs lighter. I have even grown to like the thinner neck. What a great guitar! I get compliments on it all the time b/c it's damn sexay!
BTW, it now has Manlius hot-rodded PAF clones in there which REALLY brought this guitar to life from the JB/59 combo. I suggest checking out his pickups if you are looking for a very reasonably priced pickup that sounds as good as ones twice as expensive.
