andy, loved the video. great playing and tones! Thanks Windsen! I would have never thought to use the loop for lowering the volume without the suggestions from this forum! And my early Quickrod is one of the louder amps I've heard! Without the loop trick, I would never be able to play it!

HA!!! yup that was this backyard party we played...i was running through this JCM800 at the time...got rid off it soon after i heard my buddy's 5150...for a 5150... ;D Cool! I am so bummed I don't have any pics of when I first started playing, my first gig, etc. when I was 18 we played a huge outdoor party and I have no pics. The party was so huge there were 9 kegs, the guy made up T-shirts for it (to pay for the kegs). The police ended up directing traffic. Then they came in about midnight and shut it down. Maybe I'll post an ad in craigslist around here, I know people were taking pictures. But that always brings out the strange-ness.

Akira Takasaki, WOOHOO! Nice to see the Quickrod pull off those tones at low volume, thanks for that vid! You recognized the Loudness tune, cool! Rock n roll crazy night - you are the here-wo tonight! What do they say after that...MVA? MZA? Either way, Akira had some smoking tone!

It was 'MZA' which apparently doesn't actually stand for or mean anything...
Yeah, Akira's tone is killer. One of my favorites. I love that 'vowelly' growl he gets in his rhythm sound. One of my first posts here I asked whether or not you could achieve that with the Quickrod, and that's when motorcop contributed the words I use for my sig...not too many here were familiar with Loudness, lol.
Akira is still pretty underrated.

Oh, that's what started that post by motorcop! Funny! Your question was not THAT obscure - if you know Loudness! I have to buy a few Loudness tunes on iTune!

Cool! If you can get past the silly costumes (that looked silly even back then)! MZA!

Oh, that's what started that post by motorcop! Funny! Your question was not THAT obscure - if you know Loudness! I have to buy a few Loudness tunes on iTune! Motorcop was too busy coping Poison licks to bother listening to a killer band like Loudness ;D Aikra is very underated here in the USA Oh,I think I need to learn this volume trick as I tend to catch myself wanting to play way after hours and can't
