Shred, that is so f'n funny about her being a saint. No matter where we go, to any sort of social function or whatever, within five minutes there will be a line of people lined up either asking her what she is doing with me or telling her she is a saint for putting up with me. Then I will chime in and say "You know why she's with me? The velvet buzzsaw!!!" and then I attempt to lick my eyebrows. That is usually the showstopper. I freely admit that I am a sexist, caveman pig. But that's part of my charm. And let's be honest, women really don't want a soft, sensitive, caring man. There is no respect for that. Say your in a bar with your chick, and a big cro-mag like me or DC comes up and starts trying to impress her because he just discovered fire or something like that. Is your girl going to be more impressed the fact that you can throw-down and keep her safe if you have to, or is it more impressive that you got his and hers mani/pedis the day before? They want a man to take charge and handle things. As I said earlier, men and women both have very specific rolls that they need to play for the relationship to work. Like that old saying..BEHIND every successful man is a good woman. ;D heheh...too friggin' funny...maybe I should start callin' you Rick James or Ike Turner? HehEHEHE... I think all this bravado of yours is probably covering up the fact that you still go to bed cuddling your favorite care bear and looking forward to reading the next chapter of the most recent Nancy Drew offering in the morning..which is of course, fine =D |

Wow, TJ, those girls sure feel "safe" with you huh? Don, are you serious with this? Obviously I don't know you, but I think you should have your "man-card" revoked for even starting this thread. And any brothers that "signed" this ridiculous petition instead of telling you what they really thought should be ashamed of themselves. Your girl is cute and all, but there are a million of them out there. If you want something adorable to follow you everywhere and never leave your side, get a golden retriever. You can make all the touchy-feely arguments about how she was raised to be insecure and all that, but I personally do not have the patience or desire to coddle people like that. Go see a therapist and deal with your "issues", and call me when you are ready to be in an adult relationship. Life is way too short to wasting time with that crap. Every minute wasted is a minute you will never get back. If she doesn't feel she can trust you out of her sight, she is not the one for you. That doesn't make her or you a bad person, it's just a bad fit. Sometimes things just aren't meant to be, no matter how much we would like them to work out  . Take a step back and really look at things. Also, if you knew she was so insecure, you never should have told her the truth, as harmless as it is, about where you are going. Any successful relationship needs to be based on lies, deception, and misdirection. Men and women are simply not meant to get along, so we need to make it work for us. I treat my trophy-wife one step up from the Taliban. She knows her role and I know mine, and that keeps our relationship strong. I tell guys that check her out right to their faces and in front of her.."You can have her, but the bills go with her". So man-up, take your nuts out of her purse, and tell her your going and that's that. Or just keep tolerating this ridiculous behavior and maybe you can see if the "promise-keepers" are coming to your area. ;D As much as I tease TJ about being an H-MO, my boy is getting paid and getting laid. Do you think he is sweating any of these chicks? No way. If they give him any static, their gone. There is always someone else just around the corner. Women need to know that to respect you. Your options are what makes you most attractive to them. That girl is not with you for you. Let's be honest. She is too hot for you, just like my wife is way too hot for me. I have been pretty hard on DD here and even though I feel he brought it on himself with this self-neutering thread, I appreciate him being a good sport and I hope he knows it's all been exagerated(well almost all) in jest, and that he'd be better off taking relationship advice from Scott Peterson than from me. LOL!!!

I'll bet he hasn't been laid since DD started this debacle. Maybe they even split. There's no way a relationship could survive this exposure and no way of blocking her and her friends/family from reading it. Someone should try and get a hold of him and see if he's alright.
I must say though I loved reading this thread.

Well naimliles guessed it, we split. She moved her sh!t out yesterday. I didn't let her read this monstrocity so that wasn't the case. I have held up pretty well through most of these comments but shreder is right, no one here knows me and the type of person I am. I may be less shallow and barbaric as Motorcop but I am anything but a neutered sensative man, BELIEVE me. We had a falling out about her issues and she decided she couldn't let go of her "morals" which translate to her fears and insecurities to me. So we ended it yesterday.
I haven't been on here because she took the computer and I have been working in the field for the week so I probably won't be on here too much seeing that I am fcking broke and probably can't even afford rent w/o her helping me let alone a damn computer.
I can't say that this is for the better because I did love her and we had been together for almost 3 years. I was saving for a ring but I guess that's done. I don't know, my mind is at war at the momoent and I can't think clearly. I'm taking a break from here until I figure out what I'm doing with myself.
