Has anyone tried out the Loomis Schecter? I thought it looked cool, but they're not readily available in the UK. Never owned one, but I tried one out. It actually felt really good, played smooth, etc. The neck on those 7 strings are pretty nice too. They're not like playing on a 2X4 like some 7's. |

I think Zakk is realy the best Metal guitarist for the last few years. You can't count that Paul Gilbert wizard sh1t.  Sorry but Zakk does nothing for me anymore. He has played the same pentatonic scale for years now. The only thing going for him is speed. I swear in everyone his solos there is at least one lick he plays 4 times in a row. |

Make that 3 of us. I love Zakk's riffing and playing on albums like No Rest for the Wicked (prob my fav) and No More Tears. Ozzmosis had some bright spots, but wasn't as strong (though "Tomorrow" rocks). The first BLS album was pretty good, but then it got priogressively worse from there to the point where I can't even listen anymore. I'd take Zakk from about 20 years ago any day over the current Zakk. |

Count me in too! And what happened to his f*uckin tone for gods sake? Sounds like dog sh!t to me and has for a while. I cant even listen to BLS, and ive tried. No rest for the Wicked blew my mind back in the day........

BLS is so awful. I liked NRFTW too, great playing and riffs. All downhill from there.

Are you guys friggin deaf? Life goes on outside the 80s for gods sake  Zakk is the last of the guitar heros who,with dime never stop soloing!
