Keep talking Jim, but I don't think you could play it. Like I said, listen to it, play it, if its that easy just record it and lets hear it. You got to have some chops to do it though. May be too much for you,,
BWWHAHAHAHAHA.,

May be too much for you,, BWWHAHAHAHAHA., you're probably right...but, who cares? that clown can't play any of my solo's so we're even... when you learn someones solo you take on a little of their 'style' why on earth would I want to pollute my playing with such crud...I learned alot of solos note for note but they weren't 'shred' solos they were mainly lyrical and melodic. Like 'Rock Bottom' from UFO... 'Train Kept Rollin' Aerosmith etc...

Its real straightforward and easy to learn. Its just pretty quick and requires alot of dexterity to et it smooth. Its not like a VH or Lynch lick or SRV or something where you have to really understand the style to play it well. Is just a good solo. Just somebody admit its a good solo please. ok off to the gig... see yuns later. ...

CC Deville- Maybe he does have one good solo,I don't know. But I do know he has the worst out of tune ,jerk-off vibrato I have ever heard from a "big-time" guitar player.
But hey,if you guys like CC that's cool.I don't.

OK, I heard the clip...(thanx Hack)...man, standard A to G to D riff...sounds like he morphs in and out of major and minor blues scales into a cheesy 'kiss' lick finishes solo with a descending modal/pentatonic cheese thing...I really didn't hear anything very spectacular or even remotely significant at all...I know my clips suck, but dude, I could have nailed this solo note fer when I was 17 what makes you think I can't now? I'm definitely not going to sit down with a clip of it and learn it just to prove to you I can do it...besides my left hand REFUSES to do that cheesy KISS lick...

Axeman, I don't like CC either, just making a point. Terrible vibrato.. I agree. Yeah Jim, standard cheesy Kiss licks,, uh yeah. If that makes you feel better, ok,, LMAO. I'm sure your way above doing anything so lame.

I'm sure your way above doing anything so lame. no its not a 'I'm better than that' thing...my left hand just refuses to play that lick! meaning: it's a standard rock lick that I have alot of trouble playing! made it hard to play some KISS tunes and Schenker was fond of that lick too..

Theres only maybe 10 tunes my band plays that I play note for note solos in. I mean out of all the tunes in the set, only 5 tunes that are good enough solos that I respect enough to play them faithful to the record. 1) Eruption/Hot For Teacher 2) Bark At The Moon 3) Wait- White Lion 4) Ratt,, all of them 5) All the Dokken 6) flyin high Again 7) Poison, Nuthin but a good time. Anyone who thinks CC Deville sucks should learn the solo to "Nuthin but a good time" note for note, then call me in 2 months when you can play it cleanly at half-speed. CAUSE ITS HARD. I play it note for note and nail it 99.9% of the time, but its a tricky, quick and technical solo. And don't gimme any crap about how easy it, is.. I want PROOF. gimme a clip a video something to back it up. Then and only then can you rip on CC, cause when the guy was sober he could play his @ss off.. even though I'm not a big Poison fan too, he was pretty good. Compared to Richie Kotzen? uh no, of course not, but he was good. this comes as quite a shock to me, commin' from you craig =D this is one of the few times we disagree =)

the fact of the matter is, it's not easy to cop ANYONE's style/leads and be 100% accurate (unless you're alex flourous playing yngwie..but he's a freak, so we won't go there..lol)...
that's one of the reasons why I was hesitating starting the cover band when my buddy at worked asked me...'dude, I'm not good at copping other people's styles'....but I gave it a try...
there's one or two leads wehre I get pretty close...Man in the Box..about 98%...We die young...I just about know that note for note....Jabs' solo in rock you like a hurricaine...I know that about 90%..everything else I pretty much make up my own leads...
Nothin' But a Good Time's probably his best effort...does it fit? yep...is it good? meh, it's servicable...that doesn't mean that I could play it...hey, I can't play any of that outta the box jazz fusion stuff and I Think that sucks too..lol...
anywho, I don't even think CC could replicate that lead note for note live..lol

Your right he can't,, LMAO.. I saw him 2 years ago and he was horrible. But give the guy credit for that one moment in time where he busted out some slick chops.. Jims focusing on the one Jimmy Page lick at the end.. but I'm telling you that 3 octave hammer on into the b5 blues lick is pretty darn hard. I see other cover bands do it and watch every guitar player cheese that lead.

I'm not at all good at copping people solos either, but I'm telling you its funny watching other guys cheese that lead,, its like they play the beginning close and the end close,, but then when that long 3 octave lick comes up into that double-stop lick,, its like they pretend its not there. hee hee.. Sad and funnny. I play it all the way through and it looks impressive,, LMAO.
