i appreciate all the comments and input guys..im not looking for a darker q/rod..im just looking for the sound thats best suited to me..my own!! which at the end of the day is what were all looking for.. i use sykes 87 tone as a reference..thats the ballpark im looking for..i mean its never gonna be exactly the same.. what did it for me was the youtube clip of scott in his workshop, and the clip of VOM at the convention with TJ.. the rhythm sound that vom had i thought was amazing!! that was 1 of the reasons for changing my mind to the nitro from the comp.. im not a dropped c-b-a or whatever player..maybe once in a while dropped d.. being in the uk has its limitations to buying boutique amps.. i bought last year a custom audio amplifiers od-100se head and cab..again with only 1 dealer in the uk i bought on reputation..cost me mega bucks.. basically $5500.00///£2700.00. clean was beautiful..od channel i thought was sh!te!! if anyone wants an amp with loads of sag and fizz..then buy a caa.. im not knocking at j/suhr at all..its just what i thought of it.. but there again.........reb beach loves em!! coop, trust me, you'll love that amp. i was talking to scott about buying that prototype nitro the day of the convention but had to back out due to some business dealings that i became aware of when i got home. at least they didn't call me during the con, it would've sucked...anyway.. i wouldn't have wanted that amp if it was a "drop Z and chugga chugga along" kinda amp... you'll love it...the video clips don't lie and it sounds exactly like that clip of scott at the shop. sounded the same when i played through it 2 minutes after scott

vom..you were there at the unveiling of the nitro..compared to the quickrod what are your honest thoughts. daz the highest praise i can give that amp is that we played it on friday at 3pm the day before the convention...TJ/Kev and i were there at scott's shop from about 12:30 pm and around 3pm we were like, scott, we have to get outta your hair and let ya get back to work....he was like, what?...no stick around, you guys wanna hear the new nitro?....our jaws dropped, we were like YEAH. after hearing it at around 3pm we left at around 4pm and we didn't stop talking about it until the next day when people were able to play through it themselves. when we met up with some of the other splawners like supercharged 350 the first thing we said, was "man, you gotta hear this NITRO!"...shred showed up at 3:30 AM...AM!! with DD...first thing i told them was, "we got to play the new NITRO and it kills!" this is exactly what happened...anyone there that hung with us that friday night will agree that all we pretty much talked about was the nitro...and TJ "hangin brain"...

darrcooper, i just like a tight crushing amp,(soil/down/godsmack/alter bridge)almost bought a bogner uber, then i heard the nitro clips. I have a herbert, luv it to pieces, but i want the nitro to run together with herbert, Windsen told me its not as compressed sound like herb more of a raw huge tone, they will mate together ...awesome. as for the jvm,i think im gonna run it over with my durango, its a noisey fakkkr, and the loop blows big time,BIG TIME.....what you said is how i about feel on it,great overdriven rock/blues and i like the od1 on red sounds like slash tone, but i hate the noise and i put new tung sol preamp tubes in it,it killed it a lil,but i just feel its unacceptable. nitro....comin soon, i wish josh would just call me n say its here!

Dude i love these things. Nice! I wish people could hear these in person because there would be no secind guessing then! I was there with everybody at the convention and the Nitro was definitely the spotlight of that weekend. I can still hear the amp in my head! If I had the cash I would be placing my order right now. Trust me guys, if you like thick aggressive rock/metal tones this amp is the fookin master.
