And we all must remember we were on channel ONE of the gain!!! We never even kicked on the second overdrive! Actually, I was using OD 2 when I plugged in, but I EQ'd it drastically different then also. Back off the treble/presence to about 10-11 o'clock each, bumped the mids up to about 1 o'clock, knocked off both the bass/resonance down to aroun 10 o'clock...and of course backed off the gain to about 11 o'clock. It can def do death metal. It's a more "modern" sounding amp than the QR to me at least.

The Nitro plain and simple "Owns" It's killer. Even at low volumes it still "Owns". You'll shat yo pants as soon as you hear it. I wish you guys were all there when we first got there on Friday and got a sneak peak at it. I'm telling you when Scott fired it up all of our jaws hit the floor. The Superstock sounded awesome also. Just total classic rock tone. We were all like a bunch of kids in the candy store this weekend. I was sad driving to the airport today. LOL!!!

man, I am very very interested in getting in line for this new amp. sounds killer.
do you guys have any up close pics of the control panel? i think it looks bad ass with the all black tolex/piping and black face plate but a bit iffy about the silver parts that i guess contain the text over the controls ("presence, bass, mids", etc...) . does anyone know if scott can do just all white lettering on the black face plate? yea i know, minor details but i'm just curious.
*begins to consider which of my gear i can sell to fund a splawn nitro* =)

I thought the nitro was suppose to have a barbed wire thing going on?I was told it was going to sound like an Engl Powerball but tighter, more bottom,a bit more saturated, and more articulate.... Ok,this is from the man himself. What he says about the Nitro:Same vein tone wise as his other amps but with more saturation. I could be wrong but I think this Nitro had KT77s in it. (?) MY ears says yes it has more bottom end and umph!!!! Suprecharge350 was chugga chugga chugga on it like no tomorrow! Tj is one slick cat,but this amp added some hair to his balls ;D To me......its got that Zakk attack going on,I dunno maybe thats just me,but these guys where squeling those pinch harmonics all day long. You know Shredders avatar? (the cat) well this amp said fook off cat! Shredder sounded realy good I have it all on video and I think I can post it soon,if anybody wants to watch? yes, the nitro frightened my cat..I need anew avatar! dude, post that video! between your footage and tuskerkev's well have PLENTY of live stuff!

the Nitro had 77s in there... but I overheard someone saying you could get it with the 34s or the 88s as well

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better than my Pro Mod…..WOW. The Nitro is the best amp I have heard or played hands down. I am gassing so hard for this thing now it hurts! I wish I had the fundage or I would order one ASAP. It still has that Splawn articulation with no fizz or mud but more gain and saturation. It was just killer. This thing is going to absolutely slay all the high gainers IMO. Anyone that complained about how tight and unforgiving the Splawns are should be thankful their prayers have been answered. I could feel it immediately how easy this amp was to play. Through the x-pattern small/big block the low end was insane. Beware of this amp boys, it will leave you weak at the knees! "Ahhhhhhhh gain"
