Well,1st I did not play it. But it sounds realy good Tons of gain, while keeping definition. MY kidneys began to hurt from the bottom end,and I had to go use the port-o-john ;D DD and TJ ,Vom and Shredder can give better reviews than I can This is the amp I'm looking for,and It will be the next Splawn I own. No kidding. If this amp was a hit-man....I would run from it ;D or move to another country

Let me say the guys at Splawn are the best people you could ever meet Scott is the man! Tree was cool and the guy who does the tolex(Brian)? Cool! BLS fan too!! ;D I can't believe I have driven past his shop so many times and never knew it was there. 45 mins boys and I'm there anytime I want ;D Seen and signed Hacksaw's combo, nice. Davo,Mitch and Donaldemon realy cool guys. Vom and TJ and Shredder got all them on video running the Nitro thru its paces. If you had closed your eyes you would have thought CC was there ;D

I thought the nitro was suppose to have a barbed wire thing going on?I was told it was going to sound like an Engl Powerball but tighter, more bottom,a bit more saturated, and more articulate....

Ok,this is from the man himself. What he says about the Nitro:Same vein tone wise as his other amps but with more saturation. I could be wrong but I think this Nitro had KT77s in it. (?) MY ears says yes it has more bottom end and umph!!!! Suprecharge350 was chugga chugga chugga on it like no tomorrow! Tj is one slick cat,but this amp added some hair to his balls ;D To me......its got that Zakk attack going on,I dunno maybe thats just me,but these guys where squeling those pinch harmonics all day long. You know Shredders avatar? (the cat) well this amp said fook off cat! Shredder sounded realy good I have it all on video and I think I can post it soon,if anybody wants to watch?

I ran out of tape to capture that coolness! What did you think of the Splawn BIG BLOCKS? Good grief...the Nitro along those BIG BLOCKS...dude, it was PURE THUNDER!!! The Small Blocks sounded really great as well...but more of an open sound, to me it was a little more vintage. I completely enjoyed meeting everyone and hearing them play...there on some folks on this forum with some serious chops! I'll post my video on youtube when i figure out how to pull it off my camcorder... Later, patrick

Whats the deal with the tone? Compared the Qu The tone...hmmmm. Splawns have a certain 'tone'...the big thing i noticed is that the Nitro had more, way more gain. Like I mentioned earlier, the Nitro and the Big Blocks sounded like Thunder to me. It was GOOD! Conversely, the SuperStock had that basic Splawn tone but less gain. Which was super, super cool when you need to get clean. To me, the one word that pops out when i think about the SuperStock is 'Vintage'...especially with the Small Blocks. In either case...it was ALL GOOD! later, patrick
