I just worked out a deal to trade my 2x12 cab with evh greenback and g12h30 for a voodoo lab pedal power plus and boss ce-3 and dd-3 and $200 cash from him. I really need them because my 2nd pedalboard won't fit my dd20 and george dennis chorus. And i need an 18 volt for my evh flanger. Could use the cash too.
I am so happy with my new 4x12.....i won't ever use my 2x12 anyways unless i join a band again. I don't mind dragging around my 75lbs 4x12's anyways.

Hey Gtrjunior I have problem with my sonic blue warmoth guitar. I can't seem to get comfortable with the neck because it is so much thicker than my charvels and my other warmoth. I have a hard time fretting stretched chords and pull offs and hammer ons on the 6th sting. Also, i don't like finished necks and it has a polyurethane finish. I find my paslm sticks to it and makes moving up and down neck difficult.
So I am going to sand the neck down until it is same shape and thickness as my charvels and then put a thin coat of tung oil on it.

Scott had the neck dimensions on the website. Iirc .79 at the 1st fret and .85 at the 12th. That’s a little thinner than what my 60’s slim taper is. I find that to be a very comfy neck.

I will for sure. The neck is shaped like a U. Very thick. I will put my other warmoth neck beside it to show before and then after.

Ok i just looked up how to measure neck thickness at nut and 12th fret. I made a mistake about the profile of this neck. It is a "U" shape profile. Not C. I went back and edited previous post.

I’d be curious if Scott would sell you a neck in the dimensions you wanted... Might be worth an email?

I’d be curious if Scott would sell you a neck in the dimensions you wanted... Might be worth an email? Naw.....I am going to sand it down 2mm and it will be perfect. I can't tell for sure if it's a c or D. Possibly a thicker c maybe. Here are some pics of it on the left and my usa charvel in left. Measurement pics are 2nd fret warmoth 1st pic and 2nd pic charvel 2nd fret. Then 12th fret warmoth 1st pic and 2nd pic charvel 12th fret. Warmoth is 26mm at 2nd fret and 28mm at 12th. Charvel is 24mm at 2nd and 26 at 12th.

There is quite a big difference in the necks of those guitars, isn’t there? Good luck with this project! Can’t wait to see the results.

Yes. Huge difference! I can't fret some chords properly. I can't get enough strength out of my hand because i am reaching so far with fingers. You have to have giant hands for this neck.
I read on Halo guitars website:
1. Super Thin: any neck with a 17-19mm thickness at the nut
2.Moderately Thin: any neck with a 20-22mm thickness at the nut
3.Meaty: any neck with a 23mm+ thickness at the nut

Well the good news is my sandi g job went well and i didn't gooch the neck.😁
I am waiting for tung oil to cure and then will use steel wool. Pics coming soon!

I have read several times a on couple of forums that you should NEVER use steel wool....it splinters/flakes off and that’s not something you want in the electronics of your guitar, especially the magnetic pickups.

Steel wool is the best! Don't listen to them. There are such things called gabage bag to wrap your body and a vaccum!!😉 0000 grade and is also grade for cleaning fretboard and polishing frets.
