Sorry guys, that was uncalled for. Just because it is not my style of music, does not make it bad. As long as they are good kids, it doesn't matter what style of music they enjoy and write. Sorry about that, I was in a bad mood and I should not have taken it out on this thread. Please accept my apology.

Hey Don , yes PT is a great band. You can definitely hear many different influences in their music. I usually try to describe them as being a cross between Pink Floyd and Tool. But that only partially describes what they sound like. And everyone that I turn them on to loves them. Anything Steven Wilson touches is gold. OSI, No Man, Blackfield, Damnation, for a few. I will check out Isis, as you have a similar taste in music.Tell me about your Pro Mod , I don`t see anything on the site . Is it a head you had Scott hot rod for you ? And how about your axes ? What do you have/want next ? Sorry, just saw this post! Mine is a stock 2005 Pro Mod w/ Penta Labs (Chinese) KT88's. Only thing Scott added was a loop volume but I actually don't even use it much. I use Les Paul's (94 Studio and 04 Edwards copy) mostly through a huge pedalboard (15 effects) and Splawn cabs w/ SB-25's (2x12 or 4x12). The sound of RAWK! I actually don't want anything next! I'm pretty content with my live rig. Of course I always would like to add more amps for home/recording but I get by with my Blackstar HT5. What about yourself?

It is funny, go to a Marshall forum and everyone tells you how much warmer and sweeter Marshalls sound over Splawns. Personally, I find Splawns sound get warm, organic and sweet.
Hell, my band plays songs by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, and other 90s bands and I was getting great tones when I borrowed a friend's Quick Rod.
