There aren't a lot of good clips of the Streetrod on Youtube and certainly no band clips. Lots of the Quickrod. If anyone has some, post away! I love the amp and hope to get one next year and will be sure to post something. The Street Rod is amazing!

There aren't as nearly many Street Rods out there as Quick Rods. Makes sense.
Hayden from Play Music covers the whole thing admirably.

I think combos of any high gain amp are less popular than the head model. That being said, even though I think my Street Rod may have issues due to shipping, it is very tight an punchy and for a combo at least for me is pretty rare.

Everyone seems to forget the Streetrod comes as a head too and I know people have bought the head. That is what I am buying next year, the head. I totally understand though, guess I am just anxious for more clips and some band clips. I thought the clip from Hayden from Play Music were a little harsh and flat sounding. Maybe there was something up with the recording. I there are better recordings out there, but I am sure some live gig clips will filter in eventually.

hmmm.......my next gig isn't until 1/6, I will try to get some decent vid of it. I did loan out my SR to a guitarist in a hugely popular band here in CT a few weeks back for a gig....let me see if he videoed his show with it. Please hold.

Kevin, thanks so much! You guys sound great. I love your tone. Very thick and full. What a great voice that amp has. Is it the combo? And you use you cab with the Eminence speakers? I know the Governor is like a Celestion V30. I was going to use the Stone Age 212 I am getting with the WGS Vet30/ET65 pair. You think that could work? My other 212 cabs have V30s since they are perfect with my PWE and Bogner. I was considering a Mesa Boogie Royal Atlantic but the SR might be the better compliment to the amps I already have.

Thanks so much man!! I appreciate that. Yes, I sometimes use the combo with a Splawn 4X12...which is what I was doing in this vid. The SR come with a small block speaker I believe...maybe it was a big block...i get confused..hahahaha...sounds great no matter what it is....all my cabs are Eminence GOV/MOW....which I LOVE.
I am not familiar with Stone Age 212 WGS Vet30/ET65 pair...sorry about that.
Thanks again!!

That is good to know the Eminence GOV/MOW work so well. I say that because I often hear people say V30s are no good with Splawns but the Gov is a V30 type speaker with smoother mids, similar to the WGS. But, this sounds so good, I might look into that set up you have. Do you think more of that tone was the Eminence GOV/MOW combo? I would end up buying the SR head, not combo and I use 212 cabs, not 412s since the most I'd be playing are jam sessions and small bars/clubs. A semi open back 212 does everything I need. Your tone is off the charts good bro. In fact I can hear in that band context that it would handle modern high gain songs nooooo problem, because I thought Hungry like a Wolf sounded dark and thick, perfect for some of what I do, but great cut. Man, I wish I could use a Wolfgang. I had one years ago but they are too small for me. I am 6'3" with big hands and the Wolfgang always felt way too small in size and the neck was too thin for me. I had to switch it up to Gibsons and PRS. What happened to the solo in "you really got me?" I was all ready. What other Alice in Chains do you guys play? We do Them Bones and a few new ones of the latest CD. We used to play Man in the Box and I know I loved playing that solo. I spent a lot of time getting it spot on note for note to the recorded solo......but I think the audience could care less. LOL.

Dude, thank you...I chased my tone forever, but I am so happy with it now. Ever since I found Splawn years and years ago and that sealed the deal. I can get my tone from just the combo...adding the GOV/MOW obviously makes it even better, but i have gigged with just the combo and it worked great. Too bad about the Wolfgang for you....I was using my EBMM that night, but I have a WG and an EBMM EVH as well. I really only use the EBMM now for gigs. All my guitars have the Duncan EVH pickup in them (except the EBMM EVH....the original pup is great) AHAHAAH....we have also was used the solo section for the band intros...hahahah! Sorry! I love AIC. With this band that is the only one we do by them. We play pop rock, modern rock, pop and some priest, sabbath etc. Thanks again man. I love talking about this stuff!
