I thought we could compile a list of our dream Splawn features that are not currently on Splawn amps. My humble submission... 1. Loop volume moved to the front of the amp ala Dual Rectifier master volume. 2. Separate gain and volume control for OD-2. 3. Bias switch for EL34/6L6. 4. Tube buffered loop. 5. Three channel amp. Clean/1st gear/Nitro! 6. Voicings are perfect. Don't change a thing.

I would really like a mid knob on the clean channel and valve protection like The VHTs and ENGLs have.

Ooh, I'll play. • Plex Rod. Single channel head, based solely on 1st Gear, where the gain keeps on coming after the current amps max out. A Friedman/Marsha/Browneye etc. killer. • External bias. Please.• No loop. • Power scaling. • Audio taper on master volume. (Do the newer ones have this already? I forget.) • On the three gear amps, take some bass out of 2nd, you're keeeeeling us. • Make the Quick Rod angry again. • Amp shuts down if boost detected.

External bias would kick ass. No loop? Just use the bypass man! I needs me a good loop. Self destruct should initiate upon detection of boost. 2 second countdown.

Hmm,
I love my QR the way it is, but they should make a 2x12 combo, and 2nd Ayton, safety off feature when boost/od pedal is in the chain! lol

I knew this would be vaguely controversial, but I actually put some thought into it. I figure it's always been the weak link, and I personally don't use it but I'm still paying for it; the loop costs Splawn money to produce and install, which is passed on to us. Make it an option? I think pros are likely tapping the speaker line for wet/dry live and, like me, anyone recording is likely adding effects later because a dry tone is much easier to work with. Ah well. Just a thought. We are all pretty much on board with external bias, though, Splawny staff! Let's see it in 2012.

I agree. Upon ordering a new amp it would be great if you could specify ss fx loop, tube buffered loop, or loop delete. Also, could the loop be channel assignable? So when I switch to the clean channel it would automatically come on?

3 channel amp with QR clean, od with gears and the Nitro/Super Comp overdrive channel, i would sell my SC for one of these.

Supposedly the Splawn Eliminator. I think it will be a while though since I don't think Scott has a whole lot of time to design new amps.

Alright, so I think there are 2 great ideas here that are realistic. 1. External bias adjustment. 2. Fx loop option to delete at point of order. I hope these will be options in the newer models.

I think the loop option, while cool, may just be too much to have to design in and design out for each build. Plus, I don't care - it doesn't bother me one way or the other.
As far as the External Bias Adjust - yeah can't agree more. If anything for safety reasons. I mean, it is not like Scott needs the money in doing bias adjustments for people. The adjustment itself is super easy - it just also happens to be super risky as you have to do it while the amp is turned on.
Maybe just build in the hole at the bottom so we don't have to pull the chassis - who's idea was that again?
