^ +1 I think the loop option, while cool, may just be too much to have to design in and design out for each build. Plus, I don't care - it doesn't bother me one way or the other. As far as the External Bias Adjust - yeah can't agree more. If anything for safety reasons. I mean, it is not like Scott needs the money in doing bias adjustments for people. The adjustment itself is super easy - it just also happens to be super risky as you have to do it while the amp is turned on. Maybe just build in the hole at the bottom so we don't have to pull the chassis - who's idea was that again? Camsdad's.

If I got a Splawn wish list I think it would go something like this.
1. Nitro/QR in one amp 2. Power scaling/ damping 3. External bias 4. Gain control for the boost and gain control for the solo 5. Resonance control for the QR 6. A lunch box style QR at about 20 watts or less

Been running the Nitro with the loop by-passed lately. I didn't realize what a difference it made in the feel and tone. Just sucks that I just bought a G-Major. So, how about that gain knob for OD2?

I love my QR and am happy with nothing changed, but it would be nice to see more of a dramatic/tone/gain jump in 3rd gear. There is a good change from gear 1 to 2 but not as drastic a change going from 2 to 3. So I never play on 3...ever!

I'll bite. Wouldn't be much I would change and certainly not anything to affect the tone!
1. External bias control.
2. Get rid of the Pro Mod and just make a switch on the back for EL34/KT88's. It would probably be a cheaper cost than having another amp in the line-up.
3. Make buttons on the back (or front) for channel switching and OD-1/OD-2. The only reason I hook up the footswitch is to make sure the proper options are engaged...would rather not bother with a footswitch or maybe have the option to just have one for stomp for the solo boost
The addition of extra preamp tube for the clean and loop volume are awesome additions, as well as the 4-button switch. I can't think of anything else I would add. I don't like amps that have too many options and switches. I think the Splawns generally have just the right amount of options.

I agree with you about the channel switching on the front Don. There are some times where I am just fiddling with stuff and using the footswitch is kind of a pain. I do love the really simple interface though. I look at all the stuff the engl special edition has and I am very thankful for my splawn.

Screw all the knobs and options, just give me the TONE, which most of them lack IMO. The channel switching buttons would be easier though.

Another vote for OD buttons on the front. It is weird not to be able to switch the amp over without the footswitch, and I like the simplest setup possible which means I rarely have it connected.

So far nobody has even hinted at any changes to the sound or feel of any Splawn amp. That says a lot. Not a lot of call for added features either, just different placement of controls that are already present.

I think we are all part of the Splawn family because of those two factors. It is about just taking what Splawn already has and making it more fluid, efficient, and convenient to control. I love how it makes me approach the guitar. I play with a lot more dynamics and aggression which translates into a better tone. Now I just need a matching 4x12!!!

My Splawn is down in NC getting the look over from Scott and I have my first band practice in 6 weeks (tendonitis). the Pro Mod will be sorely missed! I have an old Traynor I picked up for cheap to try and get the job done but it will be rough. Nothing has the tone and feel of the Splawn!

I just dropped my QR of at Squid music to get a tube update and have missed it like I miss my daughter when she stays with her grandma. I had to play a JCM 2000 the last few days and I am going crazy! I'm thinking I will eventually need another QR just in case ol' Betsy goes down again.

I went through a Mesa Triaxis, Mesa Mark IV, Fractal Axe-Fx, and a couple other amps prior to getting my Nitro. My Splawn is by far the most responsive, dynamic amp out of all of them. I miss some of the voicing and switching options that my old Mark IV had but the Nitro blows it away in the tone department.
