Is this because nobody knows about your Awoogabuntu pickup? Yeah, I'm always dropping in lately to find no new posts, it's a drag. I sometimes go to HCAF/HCEG for high traffic, new posts every minute, but I got really tired this year of kids with $100 Chinese amps invading every thread to insist wood has no effect on tone. On the day I tried Rig Talk they were discussing their $1,000 fuzz pedals. And I've no sandals and R9 Les Paul to participate in The Gear Page. Sometimes I've had to actually leave the internobs and head into real life.

Splawns aren't the flavor of the month anymore ? I dunno......I will keep the tone to myself ! The site is dead lately. I check it daily but mostly post on HC with all the cretans.

well, think about it. For years we were saying, "if only my british Jim amps did this...if only it did that..." Somebody listened, story over. All that is left is to yammer about pickups, speakers, tubes, and we do it plenty. These days I am preoccupied with finding my ideal Fullerton type amp. Might as well buy the Awoogabuntu pickup and share it with us. Why don't we start a trading licks/techniques thread or section. Dirrty Craig could share picking exercises or something...

I guess that's what happens when youre not searching for tone anymore Splawn = end of search Yeah, pretty much. ;D I don’t go on any forums much these days because I have more than enough gear to make music with. The problem now is finding the energy/motivation to play. Well that and severe tendinitis in my right elbow. We have also severely lacked any rousers on this forum for a while. Bring forth the Jimbax!

I try to post and get to know people but nobody wants to talk. I only belong to esp guitars forum and this one so I know it takes time for people to warm up. I realize I may have offended someone in the classifieds so I will continue to purchse my gear elsewhere, no biggy, live and learn. I'm truly here because after playing my quick rod the first time I knew, like all of you, that the tone was untouchable by other amps. I never thought I would love it more than my mesa collection but I do. I also like the fact that Scott is a Christian with strong values. I have to questions if anyone feels like replying. First, how do you tell the year of your amp, and second, will the new 4 button switch allow me to switch gears on an older 3 pre? Thanks everyone

Though I had my regrets at first (try wiping your a$$ left handed ), in the end it was the best thing I ever did. I have been pain free for almost 10 yrs now

Thanks everyone Hey. I think the second two numbers of the serial number denote the year. So 109XXXX would be 2009, for example. (The first number seems to be power. 1 = 100, 5 = 50.) I don't know about the footswitch, but I'd guess since people were able to access gear switching for years using their own relays before this four button switch came out, that the circuit has always been there. That's just conjecture, though, don't go spending $100 on my account.

All the docs keep telling me that the failure rate is too risky to get the surgery. What did they do (if you can remember), just remove the tears? This is really depressing the hell out of me, no surfing for over a year and now no guitar. I just got my second cortisone shot but I have a feeling its going to still be bad when it wears off. I have had the tendinitis on and off for the last 6 years or so but the last 7 months have been constant agonizing pain.
