I don't really know much about Iggy Pop, but he's this pre-punk hellraiser with this whole anti-establishment thing in tow. He even has a comedy puppet version of himself being all of the above, just to sell 'cheaper car insurance' WTF?
Surely there should be an order to things. It's like The sex pistols guy doing Butter commercials over here as well? Looks like they all succumb to cash eventually. It's okay for Samual L. Jackson, just not these supposed Icons. It's just weird. If I ever see Tom Araya doing Toothpaste, I'll have to end myself!
Oh and 'Breakin' all of the Rules' is just awesome. Some great cuts off that album.

Does anyone really know if this is Jake's "band"? Maybe he just got up and played a song.

Taken from Blabbermouth.net:
Former OZZY OSBOURNE/BADLANDS guitarist Jake E. Lee made a rare appearance on May 22 at the grand opening of Dave Navarro's (JANE'S ADDICTION) Black Door Bar & Grill in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A Stripped Down TV report on the event, featuring an appearance by Jake around the 30-second mark, can be viewed below.
Jake E. Lee is currently playing with 3 DAY CRUSH, a Las Vegas-based rock band also featuring Sydney Levine, Pete Reveen from SALTY DOG, and Johnny Rocker from THE BUDDY MILES BAND.

I agree with TJ & Shreder.. Ultimate Sin = best Ozzy Album...by like alot. Never like the Zakk stuff.. and I hate the new record,, but its not Gus' fault. Hes just a hired gun. Hes way better than that record.
I've heard several stories regarding Jake's time in Ozzy.. if I were Jake I probably would have been pretty pissed off and over the music biz too..
When he joined Ozzy was in rehab. He wrote some killer stuff like Bark at the moon and Rock n Roll Rebel.. and Ozzy wrote some sh!tty stuff like So tired etc.. half that album was crap written before Jake joined. The good stuff is the stuff Jake brought to the table.
When that tour was over.. Ozzy was in fooking rehab AGAIN and Jake wrote the ENTIRE Ultimate Sin album by himself.. which is why its the best Ozzy record. Ozzy liked it an then hired two new guys Phil and Randy to finish it.
When that tour was over.. Ozzy went to rehab AGAIN.. (see a trend here).. Jake waited for a long time with new music and when Ozzy got out he spent all his time working on and promoting the Randy Rhoads Tribute record along with videos etc...
Depending on which stories you believe.. he complained about it and Sharon fired him via telegram,, OR,.. he quit rather than wait another year or more to work on new material.
Also heard that Sharon told Ozzy to capitalize on the Tribute success...she said something like " Ozzy needs a blonde haired guitar player who plays Les Pauls like Randy... blah blah...
The guy never had a chance in that fooked up band... then Badlands.. great band.. singer was a jerk who wanted to write pop songs for Atlantic records and bring in Desmond child to finish their 3rd album,, Jake wouldn't have it.. Ray Gillen left,, then died of AIDS.. nice.
The guy had every reason to be over the music industry. I don't know if I could have taken all that crap..

I don't know what motivates some people to do the things they do..sh!t, over here we have Jimmy Johnson (former coach of the Dallas Cowboys) doing EXTENZ commercials!!! I mean, doesn't he have enough money?? WTF! lol damn skippy!!! Bloodbath in Paradise! Demon Alcohol...there was a fire on that album that Zakk didn't hit since doing the ozzy thing..I used to love no more tears when I was ayoung punk learning how to play...I listen to it now and it's kinda bland

Jesus, Craig..this is spot on and said with such flourish!!! LOL...I didn't knwo alot of the stuff you mentioned..although I know ozzy's been in rehab more times than Lindsay Lohan has proven she's a complete and utter fook up..and I always heard that Jake had problems with coke and whatnot..and I always thought that's why he only did the two albums....but it wouldnt' surprise me that Sharon (the puppeteer with her hand up Ozzy's corn hole) was the reason why Jake was fired and/or quit... Jake always wanted Craig CHason (or was it greg? dunno how to spell the last time) the bassist from Badlands to be with Ozzy..that much I do know..but Shozzy said he didn't have the right look and yes...Ultimate Sin is the best album by FAR..there's some classics on the first two albums, don't get me wrong..and I'm really not a huge fan of Bark At the Moon..the song yes, but not the album..but every track on US fookin' rocks.. and let's not forget that 'Never' has the best intro riff to any guitar driven song EVER....

Ahh, now that's some stuff I didn't know . I did note that Jake got 'zero' writing credits on Bark at the Moon, but you can hear his material on there. Explains why Ultimate Sin feels more solid and awesome. Rock 'N' Roll Rebel will always be my favourite track of Jake's though. That opening riff was heavy in the truest sense. I forget that these guys live and die with their music and when they get treated this badly, I can understand why anything else would be better. Ozzy should get that Orianti chick in if it's about look and no substance.
