there's definetly a difference between 50 watts and 100 watts..when I kick my QR down to half power it's got more sag and sounds a little browner.... Its nice to have the option of 100 watts in a QR, Ibeen using 100 watt heads all my life, I REALLY dig the Competion, as you said, mine is SAG Central, SMOOTH BROWNIE BEAST! Havent heard anything sooo smooth.

I tend to have the QR a little 'spikey'. I've heard it said that the comp is more aggressive, yet every clip Ayton puts out is all about the smooth and warm. More so that anything that Yng has put out since eclipse. I agree. Ayton's clips are what first drew my attention to Splawn in the first place. I had heard people talk about Splawn modded Marshall amps before then, so when his clip popped up off to the side on youtube, I clicked on it. I watched him unpack the amp and he started to play. That is when I yelled to my wife; HONEY COME QUICK AND CHECK OUT THIS AMP! I think her first question was "how much does it cost? LOL"

I would love a Super Comp but I need a clean channel. Does the amp clean up well if you roll down your guitar volume ? The Competition sure does. Dunno about the Super, though. I love the sustain...you know "the presents"....."the presents!" ( Gilbert video REH My Comp is clean-GAIN HELL! Im glad I didnt do the Super, but I heard a great Super Comp clip called "Aint talkin bout Splawn" on youtube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iv0EAnPTW7I&feature=channel_page
