This clip displays amazing AC/DC tone quality. I am looking for amazing Gun's and Roses and Iron Maiden tone quality, but after running across this clip, I had to tell somebody!! splawnguitars.com/Splawn%20ACDC%20clip.mp3Wow!! I wonder if he was using any extra stuff like pedals or processors. |

Gear2 and Gear3 will cover GnR and Maiden, though Gear3 will simulate what GnR would sound like if Zakk Wylde was in the band...schwiiing! ;D |

Hey thanks, that's my clip. 1st gear OD1 for the rhythm w/ the gain backed off pretty good. 1st gear OD2 for the lead. No outboard gear but I did add a little verb and delay in post production.  |

I'm actually recording some original stuff w/ a buddy right now (all for fun), should have a track or 2 done soon even though it's probably not a style that's not up your alley. I think that clip is one of the best on the forum....to me, it shows the absolute raw power of the Splawn amp...not really processed or anything...just balls...pure and simple....great playing (as usual) too!

I used a single V30 in an isocab. Blasphemy! A V30 with a Splawn?! *gasp* ;D V30's are actually my favorite overall speakers, and I think they sound great with the Splawn too. |

LOL!! ;D Yeah, I never understood the hatred of V30's w/ Splawn. I was able to get some great tones with it. I just recently switched it for a SB25 which I will admit I like better, but I didn't feel the need to get rid of the V30. In fact I still have it in case I wanna throw it back in sometime. Thanks for the post T.K. I appreciate that. |

Yeah,...that was pretty darn nice! ... was that a backing track that you found,...or did you do the whole thing? (Drums and what not?? ...) ... What's the possibility of you passing it along to us (ME!) ... to noodle over!?!? ...I'm a sucker for a good backing track  What Guitar/Pup's were you using for the solo section(s)?? Thanks, Rick |
