Does your Nitro have the JJ kt-77's in it? Just curious. Usually when the fuse blows it's a tube. But not always. Sorry to hear it happened to you though.

What's the difference between a Slow Blow and a standard fuse? Josh told me to get slow blow for both my Mains and HT fuses.

so if it turns out to be the kt77's I'm not going back.what's a good el34 for the nitro.I know that scott like the mullards but I play deathmetal.I wish I could just put kt88's in it without having to add a resistor.I need good lows, good highs, and not a ridiculous amount of mids.I'm thinking JJ 34l's or winged C?

Scott has been shipping Nitros with Tung-Sol EL34Bs. They're supposed to be pretty nice. If not those I'd try out some Winged Cs.

well I know now it is a powertube.I got to see that blue glow.I thought it was ok afer about 5 seconds it started making noise and the tube went...

blue glow is normal i thought. it'll go away after a while. red glow, like bright red, is what's bad.
when you say the tube "went", what do you mean?

wind I heard the amp crackle and then I saw very bright blue current shoot up the tube.that is not normal.

ahh, ok. i misunderstood. i know sometime tubes will have a faint blue glow inside as they are heating up. but a bright blue flash is not normal. im guessing when the tube went like that, it took out another fuse, huh?
