What your girlfriend needs to realize is she has a control issue with your relationship. Not her fault. Just the way she was brought up. What she may not realize is that she can change that. She has to trust you and let go of all that need to control the situation. If she can realize that then maybe, just maybe she'll have a chance of your relationship surviving and going to the next level. If she doesn't and continues down this same path it will inevitably end your relationship. Nobody wants to feel controlled. She'll be a much happier person knowing that she supported something that you're interested in and you'll return from the Splawn Convention with one thing on your mind. Her.
