heheheh..'those cats' ya know, that maxon OD808 is a GREAT pedal...out of all the boost that I've whimsically put in front of my quickrod, that one sounded the best by far i run a TS9 infront of my QR .... but i was thinking a NITRO?.... have you ever heard KSE? I don't think there's an amp made that puts out as much gain stock as they have on their recordings...lol

I dig a couple of their albums a pretty good deal..some of the other albums I don't care for at all..I do dig the riffage though..makes me wanna change lanes without looking and sideswipe people...=D

I didn't know they had a brother singing metal. I'm definitely down with it now. i saw Howard Jones for the first time in his first band BLOOD HAS BEEN SHED years ago and he was this almost timid guy...NOT ANYMORE!!! great pipes for what he does but i think i like Jessie's clean singing a little better. as for the maxon in front thing,90% of the metal acts that i talk to use a boost pedal(and 99% of them are OD808s the other 1% is tubescreamers-original) in front of their amp for the same reason i do,(KSE to my knowledge were the first big name band to say that they use it as a clean boost to add compression/slight sustain/slight drive boost to their sound)it adds so much into getting a really aggressive sound it is incredible! some more bands that do this are unearth, august burns red, parkway drive, god forbid,Caliban.oh and by the way 4 of these 5 bands have had a CD or more produced by(drum roll..DDDDDDDDDDD) ADAM D of killswitch!!! so you can see it rubs off once you hear the difference and that is the kind of tone you are after. Brian
