yeah, that's what I got too...brightness. I have been surfing around here and have a couple ideas for pickups. It still has the stock PU's. And also I'm sure it helped I have my Squier tuned down...so it had more balls in the first place. More volume is the answer probably. cool, I have a pile of kids too. so I gotta keep it low too when they are home.

I'm using a Hot Plate at the moment. If you have a volume pedal lying around, toss it in the effects loop, dial down the volume on that and turn up the master. Cheap cheap attuenuation.

I for one don't think that this board has gone downhill. It's busy as ever. If there are some jokes on here that we have busted on eachother then so be it. If you don't like what you read then close the thread. It's as simple as that.

Jeez, I must have missed some crazy sh!t yesterday! I would have a busy day and miss all the drama! You bastards. If hack has really left I hope he comes back. I read these forums all day long at work and sometimes I will just crack up at what you guys say. My boss always asks what the heck I find so funny on the internet and I just say that talking about guitar amps amuses the hell out of me. I am not offended by anything and I have no qualms about anyone's religion, politics, sex life, favorite colors, motor oil of choice, whatever. I don't think there should be any censoring here. If someone has a legit question about Splawns every thread I see is usually filled with helpful answers and nice replies. If anyone's ripping on each other it's usually the old dogs here, not people ganging up on a new guy or being complete assholes. I must have really missed some crazy stuff in the past two days for a thread like this to come up! Let's get back to talking about fiddle solos, the merits of bad tone and overrated guitar players, Radiohead, EVH's fake teeth, wearing bright yellow spandex and humming 80's hair metal love ballads while grocery shopping and whatever the hell else you guys are always going on about!  |
