If anyone gets a chance, check this unit out and let me know if you think it would be worth it?

your link didn't work...so I went to TC Electronics site and took a look see...went through all the 'coop' video samples...I think that for what it is it looks like a solid unit...good quality effects..etc...Here's MY take: if you use ALOT of effects and processing then this is something you may consider, it is pretty expensive for what you get, quality though (it appears..)...ME? I am running in the other direction when it comes to 'processing'.... I don't like alot...other than a little delay I have on all the time I don't like effects..(I like a little chorus/phase on clean guitar)...I have them but use them sparingly & mostly for special effect then turn them off...I don't know if this helps?

I am just looking to use them sparingly. I would use delay for some songs, but for the most part I want to accent certain parts of songs. I want something that can give me high quality delays, reverbs, and chorus. I want to be able to click in some delay for my solo's, some big delay for certain solo's, and some chorus for my clean sound. Know that the unit is a true bypass unit helps too. I liked the delay soundclip that was on the site.
Do you think that the quality of the effects are really good? I have heard a lot of good things about TC Electronics delays. Especially the 2290. I owned a G Major once, and I thought it wasn't so great. This G-System seems too be much better.......and more professional!

I think it is a really cool unit...alot of features...probably the best non-analog sounds...you can incorporate your own effects into the 'loops' provided...I don't know if the delay is any better than the G major though...It depends on what you want to spend and 'IF' you like TC electronics effects sounds...

I guess that I need to just try it out. Some of the effects on this unit are not on the G Major. Plus my G Major was like 3-4 years ago when they first came out. I am sure that they have made some major improvements since then. I thought about picking up one of those H&K Replex's. They are a tube delay unit. About $500. Might be a better way to go. I believe Guitar Center would have one of those G-Systems!

Hey Motrock, I looked at the same system from TC, I am using the gmajor now with decent results. ( delay and reverbs only) so I didnt need all the switching loops etc that Gsystem give you.
IMHO, I think you could find a very good used Eventide for that money, if your looking for something thats really good. Cant go wrong there!

hey guys.....I actually bought this pig unit! (TC Electronic G-System pedalboard) I paid $1379 on ebay brand new....I'll let you know if I got hosed or if it works well with the Quick Rod....(my pedalboard is bulky and heavy so I'll try this thing...I used a Lexicon MPX G2 and footswitch for a couple years with good results so I expect this unit to perform better/quieter...) I need quality effects to record with too so this will get a work out...I don't use a lot of effects but when I do this should bring anything I would need...

welp...I didn't like it at first...but got to thinkin'...and then realized that I could reduce my pedalboard size and have a few more effects to freak out people (when my sorry collection of licks gives out in...oh...about 15 seconds worth) so, I sold a bunch o' stuff on ebay and collected the necessary fundage to try er' out...

Let us know what you think about it. I am wanting to get some really good high quality Delays and Reverbs. I am also looking at the H&K Replex. Seems to be a really good quality unit also.

well, as I learned with the Lexicon unit...the tendency is to use too much processing when you have a unit like this...I intend to use it sparingly...like Eddie and Eric Johnson, I like a little delay always in the background...then all the modulation stuff is for clean guitar or special effect only...I like wah occasionally too so I kept my Fulltone and this unit DOES NOT have any OD or distortion so I kept my OCD Fulltone too...

I have one thing to sell before I get rid of the Marshall. I have that darn Legendary Tones Time Machine Boost. Its a Keeley pedal. The thing is an amazing transparent clean boost. I used it with my Mojave Peacemaker, but I don't anymore. I plug staight in to the Mojave and it sounds better that way. I ought to try it with my Splawn Marshall and see what kind of effect it produces.
