DLR talked about 6 unreleased songs that he recorded a few years ago during a failed reunion with VH...he said that the songs sound like they were form the first album and that ed was "on fire" (pun intended)
he said that if those songs were put on an album today that it would sell 10 million copies....
at least he's talking posistive about ed...unlike that yellow/red weasel hagar...

Wow, so how is that show? I want to start listening but I never get up early enough.
I probably have 50 unreleased VH tunes from Roth and Hagar eras... but nothing from the '96 sessions.

Do you have the "Sunset Sound" bootleg? Probably the largest single collection of VH-1 outtakes that are actually mixed and produced as well as anything off the first record.

I have a bootleg of them from the LA bar scene before they got signed....before eruption in its final form...and they did House of Pain! only, other than the opening riff you wouldn't recognize it...they totally changed it...
as far as the DLR show goes....I think it's a yawnfest...lol..I got Sirius now so I listen to stern in the AM

i have an hour long phone interview that ed did with guitar player magazine in some hotel room in ohio on the diver down tour...he whips out a cassette of him noodling on the keyboards and plays it over the phone to the reporter....and in that noodling you hear the opening riff to "jump"....so........cool....
