Make up your mind,, LMAO. wrong again craig, hehehe...I never cracked on this guy, I said his tone wasnt that good (in the clip shreder posted a week ago) and he was doing alot of sweeps.. I like that in this clip even his sweeps are based in the blues and his tone is classic Marshall BTW (balls to wall)..I like him...he is definitely the closest player you guys have posted that plays like I do...I do less sweeps because I think they are WAY overdone and I don't like the...bu-da-la-da-boop...there goes 30 notes in 2 nano seconds...what's the point? |

sweeps overdone? By who? LMAO... what planet are you living on where anyone is doing sweeps. I haven't even heard a good solo on the radio or MTV in 15 years much less anyone do sweeps other than us older guys... and even thats rare. Nobody in this town does them, and its a big town,, (Orlando)

you corer the market on sweeps in your area then, craig! you sweep so much, they're startin' to call you the janitor!!! lol...

ah, er, well...the last half of his solo is loaded with sweep arps...watch it again...when he kicks in the gain he starts with some wide interval stuff (right up my alley..) and then moves into sweeps (I like them here because they are blues based feel)...you don't hear sweep picking in the mainstream because it's lame...only us super heroes think they are cool  ...I have them in my practices because it loosens up the right hand and helps with legato... |

I had to learn them...in the late 80's I had a gig that used alot of the sweep arps in the guitar solos...if you ain't sweepin you ain't playin in our band kinda thingy...it took a while to play them evenly and smooth AND play them to where they FIT into a solo instead of just bustin them out all over the place...maybe I'll post a 'sweep' solo here in the near future...I'll have to practice up on em'... |
