thanks DonaldDemon, thats a great compliment. I agree with Jim AND Shreder! Yes, both. My personal view is that vibrato and bends and phrasing is the tell-tale sign of a pro player vs. amateur player. Regardless of your technical skills, the vibrato and bends have to be there and presented with conviction,, and in my case In like to present it with authority and ballz... like SRV, EVH, Friedman, Lynch, etc... BALLLZZZZZ. ...but I agree with shreder too because people that hold players with good technique in low regard either 1)don't have it and most likely 2) never will have it, ... and use it as an excuse to rationalize their own shortcomings as a musician. If you don't like it thats fine, but don't say it sucks just cause its fast or slow. Thats just ignorance plain and simple. the second paragraph pretty much sums up how I feel about it...

OK, I know this ain't gonna be a big surprise but..: 'I HATED the 80s and I HATE big hair bands!!!' I'm glad Kurt Cobain came out and stomped those spandex wearing/hairspray/make-up wearin/clowns...the whole lot of em'.....now that is off my chest....here 'shreder' this is for you BOOOUUUY!... video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3696772496625670BBBBWWWWAAAAHAAHAHAHA...... this video 'epitomizes' the 80's in my view.... I've seen that video..funny stuff =) so what you're saying is that you actually respect that talentless hack who pretty much started the movement against thought and creativity in music? as someone who 'knew' george lynch and was big into EVH and randy roads and was in the LA rock scene, I find this hard to swallow..... I think something very aggrivating happened in your early musical career back in the day which is where all this venom against people who can actually play comes from.... your right! it's called the 80's big hair scene...I hated it then...and still hate it today! I will listen to Pearl Jam's first album before any cheese-riff 80's big hair/souless joint... (all of a sudden I feel like I'm standing alone...only African American at a KKK meeting kind a thingy...)

I'm the one that complimented you, you big 'galoot' don was just agreeing... says the man who loves randy rhoads (who can be considered a shredder in his own right) but hates all things fast and/or sweeped...lol

I am very thankful for being in highschool during that period in music instead of the 80's. I jus realized lately how lucky i am
