Guys, the gigs I do...man, I can't show up with a 'skull and crossbones' guitar and a Splawn half stack (already pushing it big time here...) ripped t-shirt, tiger pants...i'd get burned at the stake or stoned...or both....then they'd tar and feather my charred carcass.... doesn't sound like christians to me...oh wait, yeah, i guess it kinda does... |

Don't get me wrong...I'm not knockin it, I'd love to be able to do that...and I really 'envy' (in a good way) what craig is able to do, totally FUN!...just not my 'musical path' at this time..  that's ok...I make up for that with my skulls n' snakes guitar....eeeevil =D nothin' like playin' some 80's songs with that evil lookin' thing...hahah |

Guys, the gigs I do...man, I can't show up with a 'skull and crossbones' guitar and a Splawn half stack (already pushing it big time here...) ripped t-shirt, tiger pants...i'd get burned at the stake or stoned...or both....then they'd tar and feather my charred carcass.... doesn't sound like christians to me...oh wait, yeah, i guess it kinda does... unfortunately...it does..  ...people have differing 'opinions' about what is acceptable in a Christian church...I have had the most personally 'moving' intimate times and experiences honoring GOD with ROCK! most Christians, however, don't get it...they consider ROCK as 'worldy'....they want the organ and the church lady etc...old hymns from the 1600s...but! more and more Christians are learning to ROCK! |

Pastor Eddie's message today?.....'I got the best of Both Worlds'.... the church of halen teaches tolerenace...tolerance for the different lead singers it's holiest of days is edwardmas...1/26...when people exchange guitar related gifts and music and people convene every sunday to discuss the teachings of the apostles DLR/MA/AVH/SH/GC... my favorite quote from the book of David (Lee Roth) is "one break...coming up"...this shows a basic foundation of halenism...willing to help your fellow man. the book of Hagar (the horrible) has the central message of love..."when it's love"..."why can't this be love"...etc... and the book of Cherone..well, noone takes this book very seriously unfortunately... |
