TJ, Nice axe you got there. kind of reminds me of my Main guitar. I like Demartini's guitars. What are they? Strats? Charvels? I always wanted to get the whole Snake Skin look. Very cool paint job! they're pro guitars and wayne charvel guitars. you can get the cross swords here. www.wayneguitars.com

I found out that it was the Charvels. Wayne Guitars are really cool. Too expensive though!

Ratt had what, 4 maybe 5 real songs? unfortunately i can't listen to a whole album of theirs. I can handle the vocals for a couple songs but after 2-3 I'd rather listen to nails on the chalkboard. Sure there's some cool guitar work buit still. Bono from U2 has the same affect on me, cannot stand that fugger either ;D

Thats just a wicked riff man! I am going to get a band together about like Craigs around here. Hair Metal with some 70s hard rock. Body Talk would be cool..........just as long as I could get someone who could sing it! i got an offer to join a similar band to craig's up here...to play lead guitar...the trick is i need to wait to see what happens with the guy they have now...he may be leaving...he may not be...oh well...it's an honor to be asked...

My Band does Lay it Down and Your In Love. We close the set with them since they are both drop-D. I would like to do a bunch of other Ratt tunes, and when we rework some new tunes into the list we probably will. Warrens guitars were mainly Performance. They were a small company in Hollywood. They still produce those DeMArtini Skull and Bomber guitars on a limited basis. These 20th anniversary ones look sweet: www.performanceguitar.com/

hmmm, maybe thats his kids name or something?
Yeah those are sweet. I'm afraid to find out what they cost, only 20 made? Ouch you can bet they'll be in the $3000 range or higher. Sorry but I would never pay that kind of money for a single-pickup bolt on guitar.

Lay it Down and Your in Love are a couple of their best...
one thing I notice on reading these threads is how inexperienced I am as a 'fan' of rock music...I always listened to different stuff but most of you guys have gone to tons of concerts and backstage, contact with band etc...I have not really been to a major concert except The Kinks (ARG..) and Scorpions openning for Ted Nugent in their first American tour...both situations we were in the nose bleed seats and sound was terrible, fans were idiots etc..my big concert experiences were both bad...I am amazed at how much you guys know about these 80s bands.

I still love going o a good show, especially if theres at least one good musician in the band which most times there is.. this year has been a complete 80's revival for concerts for me and the wife. She was a bit too young to hav seen all the bands back in the day so this year we went friggin' concert crazy!! Heres just 2005..
Motley Crue , Tampa LA Guns Whitesnake 2x both at HOB Disney Winger the band Kip Winger Acoustic solo Skid Row (my band opened for them) Firehouse (my band opened for them) Firehouse again at HOB Slaughter at HOB Slaughter in Daytona (my band opened for them) Half of Slaughter 3 weeks ago.. played with them. Jackyl (my band opened for them) Ratt Stephen Pearcy Quiot Riot Cinderella Motley Crue again in Orlando Megadeth Dream Theater Symphony x (Gigantatour) W.A.S.P. Faster p*ssycat
..and the wife saw Queensryche without me cause I had a gig..
Thats more 80's bands than I saw back in the 80's!

I keep saying that warren and lynch were separated at birth =) very similar approach, tone and attack for sure....
as far as comparing ratt and van halen...well, I really don't think there's a comparison..one was a big hair metal band and the other's a rock band...
that being said, van halen's always been appealing to a wider audience...

Guys, the gigs I do...man, I can't show up with a 'skull and crossbones' guitar and a Splawn half stack (already pushing it big time here...) ripped t-shirt, tiger pants...i'd get burned at the stake or stoned...or both....then they'd tar and feather my charred carcass.... Don't get me wrong...I'm not knockin it, I'd love to be able to do that...and I really 'envy' (in a good way) what craig is able to do, totally FUN!...just not my 'musical path' at this time..
