That video to me is cool, just watching Lynch go at it.I think he is an amazing player.Probably more underated than overated actually. I saw him open for YJM awhile back and he was on freakin' fire! Very fluid and technically brilliant pulling out some monster chops, even more so than Yngwie himself.I am a huge YJM fan but I thought Lynch out did him that night.

I saw the Dokken 'Japan 95' dvd....just arrived...George is alot more reserved on Mr.Scary than on the video posted here...(because there is much less junk on his guitar) on Japan 95 his tone is pretty good...I noticed Mesa Rectifiers and Fender custom shop Tone Master amps and what looks to be Marshall clone amps...the others? His playing is good...George plays with a lot of class. I disagree with dirrtycraig though, George isn't much better here than when I knew him....not a knock at all, just that he was doing most of that stuff back in the day (late 70s early 80s) too...Don Dokken seems to have an Axl Rose complex going on here...George sorta choked the 'Paris' solo...Dokken kind of looks over at him with a smirk...overall cool video though.

Craig- we have some good players here. Some of these guys were playing Malmsteen note for note before we got out of high school. One of them won the best guitarist in Houston contest at 19 years old and that's in a city of over 2 million people if you include surrounding areas. Music is very big here. We have some history with Janis Joplin, Johnny & Edgar Winter, Billy Gibbons, plus SRV and Eric Johnson not that far away either. I'm not saying that George doesn't write great rock tunes and that he can't play. He has some great licks, but he's not a technical monster in my opinion. I have friends who are better technicians and have great feel, but George can make a great record. He's just not one of my top ten guitar heros.
On the flip side, Tooth and Nail IS one of my all time favorite metal records.
