no offense, but you're also 15 years older than me, man...what would you expect? here's my influences... EVH Iron Maiden (in particular, adrian smith) Rush Lynch/Dokken Jake E. Lee (older ozzy) Steve Morse Megadeth Early Metallica Iron Maiden Dimebag (Pantera) Testament John Norum, etc, etc, etc so I have a pretty good mix of things that I've listened to over the years... outta all those I probably sound the most like lynch, if you really had to compare me to anyone...at least, that's what I've been told..quite frankly, I don't see it.. anyway, got nothing to do with us getting along or not getting along =) the other guitar player in my band likes the same type of stuff you do..he's of the same 'vintage' as you are..so that makes sense....we get along just find..do we agree on all things musical? hell no..in fact, I'm usually the lone wolf in the band being a resident headbanger..but it doesn't make us not get along... just pulling your chain....pour gasoline on the fire... ;D heheheh of putting more beans in my mexican food...brrrrfffff

Let me stir this up further... Shreder,, I agree with everything you said.. but I gotta say, Zakk is a one-trick pony. I'd go as far to say he couldn't play alot of my licks.. even if half of my licks aren't mine and ripped off of VH, Lynch,, hes too stiff to cop anything really groovin. I could totally keep up with that guy in any style except chicken' pickin',, but hey gimme the albert Lee video and 30 days and I bet I could. Blah..

now craig, there's something to be said for modesty I guess you never heard the blues/groove/metal/rock/chicken pickin' thing he did on guitars that rule the world then? =) I haven't heard many of your licks so I honestly couldn't say =) just the several splawn clips you've posted.. BUT, I'm glad you agree with most everything else...LOL...I'm not sayin' that zakk's the grestest thing since sliced bread...I by no means think that..but I do think he's a really good player and has his own unique style that you can pick out of a crowd...much like dimebag..although I think dimebag was the better player... what??? you mean to say that you're not influenced by john norum? (sorry shred ;D) quite alright =) but that being said, when some of the detractors on this board show me that they can play as well as John Norum, then I'll let that type of ball busting affect me =D the discussion isn't whether or not norum is better than me...of course he is...i suck...is he better than randy rhoads?...no

Craig is here and Craig agrees, But I'll take The Ultimate Sin as the best Ozzy album hands down for guitar. I HOPE that you mean AFTER the first two Ozzy albums....then I will agree with you...Ultimate Sin is the BEST NON RANDY Ozzy album...if you think it is the best of ALL Ozzy's material... then you are on CRACK! Jake E's song writing = 3 bar chords and a whole lotta modulation all over his guitar...listen to those 3 albums one after the other and tell me that Jake's album(s) is in the same league as the 1st 2 albums...NO WAY! I like the Ultimate Sin album though...

THREE BARRE CHORDS??? lol..dude, have you ever even listened to the ultimate sin? I beleive it's YOU who's on crack....lol...jake e lee rarely used barre chords....in fact, that's one of the things that I love about his playing..he never just used your standard power chord..he always threw something else in the mix... and I'm in agreement with craig..it overshadows the first two albums...
