I would just like to make one small claim here since you all know where I stand obviously. I have an issue of Rolling Stone where some "guitar gods" cite their biggest influence on their playing and inspiratipn for learning guitar. Who does EVH pick as his biggest influence: Jimi Hendrix. So with that, how you do chose who is better when one came before the other and is one of the reasons why he started playing? Its like saying you like the chicken better than the egg. What we have here is a failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach.

Clapton admits that Jimi is still the best guitarist he has ever seen/met/heard... ...and from the way Clapton has failed to get any better since 1967 it sounds like he hasn't heard too many. lmao

Some men you just can't reach. that easily has to be a typo...rolling stone sucks...ed through the years was always asked about hendrix and always responded that clapton was his guy...he wasn't that into hendrix...
