Lemme say this for a qualification: in all the years of playing and jamming, my 'jimi hendrix' experience (no pun) is more valuable than my EVH experience...if I play something like 'castles made of sand' everyone including my grandma thinks it sounds good, if I play some EVH riffs or licks...only a very small group (usually guitar players) appreciate it...he's not as 'universal' as Jimi was... if i play a hendrix lick people go to sleep...when you whip out some VH...people go to the dance floor ;D yea, but I don't play 'crack house' gigs.... |

I think we're missing one important psychological undertone..anyone who prefers hendrix to EVH, no matter what the justification is obviously one step to right from the beginning of the evolutionary chain lmao is that good? or bad? |

Hmmm, without Hendrix would it have been possible for EVH to hit the scene and make the impact he did? Or would he have played the clarinet like his dad?
