I am going to get rid of it so I can get the new Quick Rod! That's a likely story. It seems most everyone ends up doing that! I like mine so far though I haven't got much of a chance to use it. Mine has the Heyboer transformers in it so it may sound a bit different. Anyway, it looks cool! I wanted that case as well but I got it used so it is what it is.

I am hoping that I can get a decent amount out of it. I can hope for $1500! I am not going to post it till after the Holidays are over. Everyone is strapped for cash.......including me!

I'll tell you whats been kicking my butt........I'm The One by Van Halen. I have a killer backing track to it and its killing me. 'I'm The One' is probably the hardest riff on the VH 1st album..it is tricky, think 'shuffle' more than 'precise' when you relax and loosen your right hand a bit it is easier. EVH comes off as being precise but his approach to guitar was reckless abandon...he is pretty sloppy if you listen closely.

Motrock,
Great clips...that modded Marshall sounds killer, you get great tone out of it!!! Those clips do the ProMod line a lot of justice.
Hey, where are you getting the backing tracks?

shuffle is definetly the best way to describe that song..kinda gotta flow with your arm rather than your wrist...loosey goosey =D I'll tell you whats been kicking my butt........I'm The One by Van Halen. Eddie's playing is definitely loose and very "feel" oriented. The guy has an AWESOME rhythm pocket.

Eddie's playing is definitely loose and very "feel" oriented. The guy has an AWESOME rhythm pocket. His 'right' hand was there very early on (74' or earlier) I remember people talking about him in 75 and he was ripping fast then...he was kinda a natural from his right hand technique, it was 'comfortable' for him from the beginning...Ingwie is the same way...they didn't have to work as hard on their right hand picking as MOST of us do...you have 'IT' or you don't....I DON'T! I have to work like a *^&% to pick like a three year old (oh yeah, there is no crying in rock n' roll...)...

Im the One is one of the examples! yea, I have that video...my right hand still doesn't want to do the riff...it doesn't come natural....La Grange by ZZ top is the same (if you play it right...) I'm sure that is where Eddie got it..

Guys, join up on Curts forums. I am there all the time. He does a monthly video riff. The link is a page made by Tim Greer, a forum member on his site to archive everything!

Curt Mitchell is awesome. I remember seeing his video years ago and was blown away at the thoughtfulness of not only how much he loves VH, but the way he plays that style (and other styles) so well.
Whats the web addy?
